What do you do when you go grocery shopping, do you stack your groceries nice and neat in your grocery cart? or do you just throw them in any way you want.
When I go grocery shopping I just throw them in the cart. Now my husband will stack each item in the cart nice and neat.so how do you do it?.

I tend to stack as much as possible. We do not do a lot of grocery shopping, as there are just two of us, and I do some buying club purchases.I mostly buy fresh fruit and veggies, and they do not stack well. Of course, we always put bread and chips on the top. I try to sort things on the cash register belt so that they get bagged the way I like.

That is so funny. But that is so nice of you to send the boxes home with your daughter and grandkids with food.

I keep them neat in the cart. I don't like a dented can or crushed box, nor do I like a loaf of bread that is flattened. Nothing like a squished banana beneath a pile of canned goods to brighten your day. : )

I also like to keep my bananas, bread, and anything that might get smashed on the top.I once had a package of rolls all mashed up when I got home, the lady that put them in the bag put them on the bottom and had my can veggies on top if it. Was I mad.

I have a bit of OCD and to tell you the truth they HAVE to be stacked in an order. The heavy stuff HAS to be in the back so they will come out last, and the light stuff in the front to come out first. But no it gets stranger than that, the front of the packages HAS to be facing forward to the front of the cart. Yes I know it's goofy, but I can not do it any other way. My stomach will go nuts and my skin will crawl if I try not to do it, LOL. I go nuts when my girls will grab and toss in. I also reckon I could shave a good 15-20 minutes off my shopping time if I could just put the stuff in and go.

Sounds like you are very neat with stacking your groceries. Every person got there own way of doing things. That is funny that you have to have the front of your packages facing forward. Oh well what ever works for you might not work for someone else. Have a great day.

Yeah, that sounds just like me. But, now that I have lived with my husband for too long, I am so neat about how I put my groceries on the cart. The number one rule is to make sure that the bread, chips and eggs are not stacked on the bottom but on the top of everything else.

Ohhh I have to have my cart all nice and neat looking. Just in case the cart inspector comes around handing out awards. HAHAHAHA. No but I do stack my itmes nice and neatly in the cart as I hate a mess and this way I can usually see most itmes bought so I know if at the end of shopping I knopw what if anything I am missing.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I just throw everything in there =) I would like to keep things nice and neat but I have two kids with me 99% of the time so I always take them shopping with me. And of course they want this and that and out of the basket but I don't want them running around the store like crazy little kids so they get fussy =) So I just throw stuff in the basket as fast as I can and get out of the store!

dear babystar, heavy things in bottom, light things on top, and when my daughter was little, she loved to ride underneath the cart on the rack you put potatoes on or soda cases etc. she would hide out there and get to spy on the other shoppers. i started having her ride up ontop in the shopping cart, but as she got a little bit more aware of what the mysteries were in the supermarket she hid in the botton of cart! lol, lol, stanzi

Hi. babystar1. I usually will just put everything together in a neat pile. I also will make sure that my groceries are stacked in order while it is on the cash register. I don't always place my items in a neat pile while they are in the buggy. I only do this when I have eggs, bread, potato chips or any kinds of boxes that are fragile.
