Any tips on how to increase traffic ?

I was just thinking, other than those small icons under the articles, how do you drive more people to your articles? and how do you bring your search standing higher up in google's searches??

Where are you putting your articles?
If you are using the directories they will attact the readers if you provide good keyword-rich content.
Again with the searche engines it's content driven. Provide unique content and the search engines will find you.
Keywords in your content are important also. You have to give the searchers what they are asking for. Do that and your standings will rise.

I can write and write about topics such as music and psychology which I enjoy, but my real money has come from topics such as investing, online banking, business, and exercise. Clearly not the most exciting topics for a writer like me that enjoys writing social commentary, psychological commentary, and music/internet news.
