Recently, I was using internet explorer as my main browser for my machine. Due to some issues with it, I decided to switch mozilla firefox. From the very start, I like its overall function and performance. However, at some point, when I had tried to open a lot of tabs, mozilla browser freezes and gets hanged. I don't know if you had encountered also this one. I was really disappointed at that time and switched to opera. Currently, I am using this one and I am so impressed and grateful with its overall performance. How about you?

I use Mozilla and Firefox both. Each is good for different things: Mozilla is a heavy duty browser for serious work, Firefox is a lightweight that is easy on the resources which is good when you have a lot of other stuff going on.

I never use Internet Explorer if I can avoid it. I do have it and Windows on my machine as I've a double operating system; Linux & Windows XP. Explorer is a virus waiting to happen.

I for one recomend that you have a little USB External hard drive handy for any media treasures & what not so you don't loose them while you are on your double OS learning curve because the noobie always makes a few mistakes.

I am getting a second hard drive so I can have a hard drive for each operating system as I've noted that things are getting snug in my drive. After, I will have 400 gigs.

Also, make a back up copy of your Windows disk. Windows XP disks tend to chip and become unusable after a period of time. It's all that golden what not on the pretty side.

Currently i'm using a new tabbed browser that has everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink! It's called Maxthon. This has tabbed web browsing, you can save your website collection called "groups", and it's better than Bookmarks, it has a pop-up blocker, and even has a feature to display skins, customizable addons that make Maxthon look better. Plus when you open it, you can go to the websites you've left off. China LOVES using this tabbed web browser, and it's the best to them. I use it every day instead of old regular Internet Explorer.

I am having 3 browsers installed at the same time on my Pc so it depends on my mood which one to use for now ..... i have vast choice for surfing but i think i am more comfortable with Opera so i use too often as compare to others and Mozilla comes on the second place when needed .......
as far as Mozilla is concerned as you said it hanged many times this is because you might be using the latest version of it and all these versions are testing not completely approved ones so i have installed the 1.5.2 version which runs quite faster and it is more flexible as compare to the 2.0 or later ...........
you can download the old version from www.oldapps.com for free .........

I used Internet Explorer at the beginning, but since the time I have started using Mozilla Firefox, it has become my primary browser because of all the many features it has and I liked it over Internet Explorer, but now many of these features are incorporated in the new Internet Explorer 7, which looks very cool. Maybe I will switch on to the new IE7.

Mozilla is great no doubt but it lacks some of the cool features of other browsers like Flock,Netscape,Opera.
The browsers i listed above have integrated cool features along with them.Opera for example has a common page which shows an entire page which contains our favourite sites.
Flock has nice and attractive colour combination added to RSS feeds integrated into it.
Netscape they say is the best browser so far and i completely agree with it!.

I use Mozilla and IE together. I use Mozilla in most of my work. I seldom use IE at my house.
But, I mostly use IE at my office for official work. Anda I still use Mozilla at office for my private work ( oppsss ). Hope my boss won't know ;)...

I have both Firefox and Internet Explorer on my computer, but I rarely ever use Firefox. For me Firefox runs slow on my machine. Internet Explorer is much more user friendly and organized. I've heard that it is easier to be infected with a virus while using IE but so far I haven't had any problems.

It is definately possible to run two OS in one hard drive. I use Windows for Video Editing, and Linux for surfing the web.

When I formatted my hard drive, I didn't let Windows take over my entire drive. I let it have 20 gigs. I let Linux have the rest. Linux will automatically set up the dual boot system with Windows, with Windows XP not being the wiser that it's got a roomate on the hard disk. You've got to have some room, as I do, a 112 gig disk.

This Wikki explains what a dual boot is with out getting into the software your dual booting, because there is a small army of different distros of Linux.

I use both firefox and opera. Much better than risking IE. I don't recommend anyone have IE especially if you still have IE 6.

I use Firefox because it's faster and more user-friendly. Sometimes some features don't work, so I've installed plugins to allow firefox to allow IE features under Firefox. It's great, I can customize everything to fit my needs. For example, I have Greasemonkey, which helps me with my email account, as well as my eBay account, and much much more.

Just my 2cts...
I love firefox! But also have some issues with it and now use their next browser - seamonkey. Give it a try!! I don't like IE or Opera... and if you really like real tabbed browsing then any of the mozilla products are for you.
Thanks!! GL with all the choices...
