My favorite is Bob Seger. I would say Carlos Santana, but he's not strictly rock & roll - he's more of a combination of latin and rock, I think. I also love Led Zepellin, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. And, of course, Sammy Hagar. Who are your favorites?

I do remember Boston. But I can't, for the life of me, remember the names of any of their songs. I'll have to dig around and refresh my memory.

Actually, Boston has done several albums now. None have hit it as big as the first three, though. The fourth one, "Walk On" isn't bad, but you can tell they're not really into it now.

Never! Trishzen and I both love him! I'm sure we're not the only ones around here.
BTW, I love Neil Young, too.

Oh wow, which bands were the Australian's? I'd love to hear what they sung.

Bob Seger is wonderful. I have been a fan since the first time I heard him sing. My daughter was born to his music and she is as big a fan as I am. Just saw him in December. It was fantastic. Can't get much better than Bob.

Boy, that's a tough question, I have so many favorites. I love the Beatles, but I'd have to say my all time favorite is Ray Davies from the Kinks. They are the unsung heroes of Rock and Roll. Rays voice can go from the lilt of a flower such as in "Lola to the whiskey gravel grit in "All Day & All Night.

The Kinks are easy to forget but they were very good. I liked Grand Funk Railroad, CCR, Bad Company, Aerosmith, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd ..... this is making my brain hurt.

I love Bob Seger too. Also all the other ones you listed. Some of the new music just does not cut it compared to the old music from the 60's and 70's. Thats real rock n roll. That music is still around and the young people even like it. that goes to show you they were classics. I sill have an 8 track player and tapes, that I listen to. I drive a 1978 car and the 8 track still works, and still sounds good. I dated someone that looked just like Seger, he was so sexy!!

OMG - I cannot believe you found a Bob Seger look-alike. That is so fun! I agree with you 100% on the 60s and 70s music, it has never been topped - and never will be, I don't think. I'm so jealous that you still have an 8 track that still works. I gave dozens of old 8 tracks to Goodwill when my last one broke and I couldn't find anyone to fix it.

Seriously PW? I worship Bob Seger and I don't run into many others who are big fans. He's my main man I'm with you on Bob. Infact I have a my trio of bob's. Who bob segar, bob dylan and bob marley. Gotta Love the bob. As for rock and roll I'm also with you on all of your favorites! Plus Jimi Hendrix and for some odd reason I'm drawing a blank right now-but I think I'll be back, lol!

Trishzen, from the moment we met on BF I knew there was something special about you and here is the proof! My three favorite Bob's - I never find anyone who loves Bob Dylan as much as I do. And Bob Seger - he's the god of rock& roll - am I right? Love, love, love Jimi Hendrix. I know, I thought up the question and then went blank myself. I should have been able to fill up a couple of pages - and I was too lazy to go look at my CDs. How's that for lazy - can't even get up and walk into the next room. LOL!

Elvis!!!! It's about time someone mentioned him! So cool that you are a Dylan fan, too! I never meet any of those in the real world.

I love the classics, like The Beatles, Ozzy, Santana. But I think my favorite artist would have to be Aerosmith. No matter how old they get, they still make good music.

That's a good point, but all those really great bands consist of singers and musicians who're now in their 70s and many have passed away.
