What is your favourite seasson? Winter/Spring/Summer/Autum?

Denmark

Here in Denmark, which is in the very north part of Europe, we are well into Autum right now. Days are getting shorter very fast, with 13 hrs from sunset to dawn today and the days getting shorter by 4 min a day. I like Autum. Never is nature more colourfull than at this time of year, the flowers, the fruits on the trees waiting to be harvestet, the cold fresh air and on good days, sunshine from clear blue skies. That is how weather is outside. What I dont like however is when it is windy, rainy and cold. That is sure the thing i do not like about Autum. Then it is winter, which can happen anytime from now and til middle/end April. I used to love winters, back then when we got loads of snow, which unfortunately do not happen regularily anymore. As a child i dont remember a winter without snow, now ibarely remember last time we had a decent winter here. But still i do not find enything more beautifull, than the landscape covered in snow, those beautifull icy thing hanging from the gutter, (sorry cant remember what they called, lol), crisp clear air, sunshine and a magic blue sky. The snow sqeezing under your feet and you can see yourself breathing. Absolutely love it :) But without snow winter is a very very dark time of year, with only 7 hrs of daylight on the shortest day. Thank fck god placed x-mas in the middle of this time of darkness, to give us an excuse to bring some extra light into our lifes :) Then its spring. At the first signs of spring im starting to get all exited in expectations of the summer laying ahead. New life is blooming out from all over the place. Slowly the fields, trees and bushes are changing to this very speciel colour of green, that can only be seen in the early springtime. Birds starts singing, the early flowers, the blooming fruit trees, sun is getting higher on the sky, and tho it is still pretty cold, on a good day of sunshine you can find some sheltered places where it is quiet pleasant to sit for a cup of coffee. Summertime is busy time, both for nature and human kind. I love a decent summer and by decent i mean with temp no higher than 80. I get so uncomfortable when it is too warm, it slows my whole bodysystem down to the limit where i am barely ably to funktion. But sunshine a little breeze and 80 degree suits me perfect. I love those long warm summernights, unless im trying to sleep. Spending time with friends in garden for a BB, dazing on the beach, or better yet dazing at the cafe' at the beach. People are way more sociable in the summertime than at winters, as most of the activities happens outside. These are the seassons in Denmark. Once there used to be a difference in between the seassons, now adays they just flow into each other. We say in Denmark we only have 2 seassons in Denmark now adays: The light one and the dark one :) Actually i think what i am trying to say is that i have no particullar fav seasson, i love them all in each its own way. I used to say there is no such thing as bad weather as long as you can dress for it. As long as i have my sunshine and clear blue skies i aint bothered wether it is the light or the dark seasson. What about you? Have you got a fav seasson? What is it and why?

Hello kim. We also have four seasons here in China. I live in the south part of China. Right now it is autumn here and we are having lots of rain because of the latest typhoon. It is so nice to sleep in the evening with the rain outside as I love to hear the pitter patter of the rain hitting on the trees and windows. Autumn is my absolutely my favorite season.

Morning kimthedane. When the typhoon came, we had heavy rain and my roof in my kitchen and bedroom was soaked with the rain. But now it is ok because I have had it fixed already by some repairmen. The weather today is from rainy to cloudy and the temperature is 16-21 degree. It is still a nice and cool day. I love it.

Glad to know that you are ok Will :) 21 degrees in the autum? God most of our summer days we did just about reach that temp. But 21 degrees sounds perfect to me too.

I love summer. I came from tropical country, where the highest temperature is around 35 - 40 celcius. I hate winter, can't get used to it even now I've been here long enough. I learned how to deal with it, but despise every single bit of snow flake I see. Christmas time is OK, not much snow yet. but starting January to March, I regret living here. my husband hates summer. he whines and swears a lot. I told him well that's how I feel in winter.

Lol. You too seems to be like Venus & Mars haha. I must say I sympathize with your husbond, summers with the temp you mention would kill me. But when you explain how you feel about winter, you do it in a way that I can only sympathize with you as well. Tho in my opinion you have not yet discovered the joy and affect the light of snow on a sunny day has on you. Shame, coz if you have not discovered it yet, then the chances are pretty slim. Maybe it is easier to explore snow, when you have kids?

I live in Manitoba, Canadian in the east end of the Prairies, and when winter comes, it gets very cold and sometimes it is hard to get out, the snow is so deep and sometimes it goes down to 40 below, especially in January, which is our coldest month. My favorite season is summer. All the flowers are in bloom, and the sky is blue with a few clouds, the vegetables and fruit are ripening, and it is not cold. My next favorite is spring, around April and May when the grass is no longer brown and getting green. Fall and Winter I can do without, unless it is early fall, because the snow starts early here and the skies are overcast and I get depressed. I really need the sunshine, but I cannot take the cold.

Yeah I tend to get depressed thruough the dark winter month, with not much daylight or sunshine. That is why sno is so important to me during this time as it helps light up everything. I need my sunshine, to keep myself mentally fit.

I love winter. I love the cold air and having the day off from work and just sitting with a blanket wrapped around me watching movies with my family. I love winter here in the U.S. because where I live, it rains. I love it when it rains and I don't have to go out anywhere and I can just relax with a nice warm cup of tea and just listen to the rain.

My favorite season would have to be the summer. The children are off of school and we can have lazy days just relaxing by the pool or beach. The winters are long and cold. I am in the sticks so the driving in the winter is horrible and you can get shack happy. So I love the summer for the freedom I feel. The spring and fall are so short here, you blink and you miss them. LOL

We are getting closer and closer to just 2 seassons a year too, lol. I think the worse thing about the winter is the long dark days. Dont know about Canada but here Sun usualy rise at aroind 8AM and sets again About 3-3.30PM. If, as is getting more and more normal, we do not have any snow during winter to help light up and cover a misserable winter landscape, it can be a very very long 4-5 month to get thru. But when we have a cover of snow, you can walk in the woods in the evening but still have light enough to orientate you. I love winter, with loads n loads of snow.

I like the long summer days too and a lovely summer day to me is sunny and no more than 25 degrees. Here in Denmark we had pretty cold autumn in for most of Oct month. But at the same time it has been sunny 90% at the time and I feel loaded with energy and positive outlook on life. Not usually a feeling I encounter this time of year. :) Thanks for your response and sorry for the late reply.

My favorite season would have to be summer but yet again spring... Because spring really isn't as hot as Summer... In the summer temps get really high and sometime it's to hot and humid to want to do anything besides sit in a pool and cool down.. Spring has more reasonable temps not to hot and not to cold.. Only thing is that there is more rain kind of like Fall very rainy season.. I can't really choose between the two so I am guessing both...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I myself love a WARM summerday when you can walk around in next to nothing :) But I do not like HOT summers when you feel like your blood is boiling and just blinking is a masive effort. I usually gets very uncomfortable close to sick, when it is too warm. I will just as well go on a ski holiday thay somewhere hot. Thanks for your response :)

Most definitely Summer, I love the heat and missing it already, even though its only Fall. I don't know what it is but I love the feel of the sun on me especially if I have just come out of an airconditioned home LOL I love going to the beach, having barbeques, going to the park, exercising, walking with my son and sorts. I feel the most happiest in the summertime.

Well well, mad mummy. What else could I expect from you? lol. But i gueass with regards to the outdoors activities most people seem to come go in hypernation for the winter, so outdoors life is deffinately for the spring/summer period. Greetings.

My favorite season is fall. I can hardly wait for it to get here every year. Spring is really rainy, summer is really hot and winter is really cold. I also love all the colors that come with fall with the leaves changing and such. It's just a really beautiful time of the year. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Hi. I think I like all the four seasons. I wouldn't want to choose only to be the season for the entire month. When one season comes, I'm excited. I would feel as though I've missed it so I really welcome it ^_^

Lol. A bit like me then. Tho i am not to keen on the long dark wet winterdays unless we get plenty of snow. I love blizzards when the whole country comes to a standstill. It gets soo quiet outside and the white covering has a beautifull calming affect on me. Thanks for your response.
