How many credit card do you have? I have one and i don't plan to get another one unless its provides better services and benefits from my existing one. An agent called yesterday and was offering a credit card, i already told them few months before that im not interested. But they called yesterday and was asking for information and etc. i didn't have the urge or guts to says that i don't want anymore credit card because she is talking and eventually given/verified information their asking. I even told here that i didn't apply for one but she said citibank passes applicants info to them. The problem is i don't want to send info and other papers needed to process this card cause i don't plan to use the card anyway. But they kept insisting that they send the card inactivate. Now i'm stuck in the middle, bet their gonna call next week cause ( its also my fault failed to argue with them that i really don't want any card) i said i'll just fax( the id, payslip an it next week So i know that part of it was my fault cause i didn't stick to the "I'm not interested answer". What am i gonna say if they called back?

Eventhough they already have the information that they need from you... they cannot process the credit card unless you send them the documents that they need... i suggest that... just don't send them anything...and when they call back just stay firm about the ï'm not interested answer... if not... you will be stuck with another credit card... and when you have it in your hands... you will be tempted to use it over and over again...

i have two credit cards but i only use one... the other one is really for emergency and i hardly use it... i am really careful when using my credit cards... i make sure that i will be able to pay it back... otherwise, i won't use it... i don't want to end up in debt... it is very easy and tempting to use it...

That's the smart thing to do. Having 2 cards but using only one. It's fine with me but as long as the other one have better services, benefits and lower interest rates that would be good. But the banks who keeps on calling have a bad service according to one of my co worker. There's kinda flaw in their services and promos or reward system. I guess they only use it marketing strategy to acquire more clients .

You wouldn't be able to use the card until it is activated. If they do send it to you, cut up the card and send them a letter to close and cancel the account, if you don't it may still show up on your credit report (I found that out the hard way, you have to tell them in writing to cancel it). My husband and I have no credit cards and won't ever have one again, we had too much trouble with the ones we had. We only had a debit card, so we could still use it online for some things. You have to be careful with those too, we were victims of fraud with that recently. If you don't want a credit card, don't let the companies bully you, stay strong and tell them no, hang up on them if they persist. Good luck.

yah, you're right. According to asereted, i just don't send them the documents needed so they can't process it. Just can't understand how the agent think, i just told them that i don't have any plan of using your credit card so why are they pushing. Thanks for your response. Have a nice day.:D

Yah, you're right one is enough. I just don't want to go through any hassle of cancelling or deactivating the card once i received it cause i don't plan to use it anyway. Thanks for your response. :)

I used to have 3 credit cards but I cancelled all because I was addicted in using it and leaved me a big amount of debt. it took me years before i paid it in full. Since then I never tried having one again. I don't want to experience the same dilemma again.

Credit card just put you in debt so i don't really like having many credit cards. There are known rich people who doesn't have a credit card. (Just forgot his name) Good thing without credit card is that you can save more. Thanks for your response. :D

I agree with you too. But sometimes credit card makes you over spending your allowable income per month. Thanks

Hi elean785. Credit card is key to internet, as I think. I applied for American Express. But I faild to get it till now. You are lucky enough that you have one. If you are trying for another that will be more than your need. This will cause to create the confusion I think. Access should deny.

First be sure they are your bank not a fake call & adress , and if they are real , you call them first to cancel any futher process , I suggest that you may need a DEBIT CARD to spend what you have only and to learn how to spend then you can go for your 2nd CREDIT CARD , that's what I do use DEBIT CARDS only.

I don't have a credit card because I'm afraid that if I have one, I might over spend and not be able to pay it. On the other hand, I don't want to pay for interest - it is such a waste. Anyway, I have received a lot of credit card offers to but I choose reject their offers. I simply listen to the agent and then after he's done talking, I sincerely tell him that I am not interested with the offer simply because I don't think I badly need a credit card. Well, I tell them that I can still afford to pay my purchases with cash or through my debit card. Fortunately, all of them understand my point and they only asked me for referrals instead.

It's also a good thing not to have a credit card. But sometimes it's also useful when buying installment gadgets or electronics. Good thing that the agent called you are nice and listen, some agent are very pushy they keeps on convincing you. Thanks for your response

I have two credit cards (one is visa, one is JBC)but one account. I agree with elean's idea. I think one is enough. Actually, after I login here, I find I need a paypal account. Then I applied for my first credit card. So I got my card just one month ago. Before I applied for it, I looked for info on internet. And I chose the broader use card. But how to say, credit card is more convenient, but it also make me easiler to overspend. Anyway, credit card is becoming a part of modern persons' life.

I do have a paypal account. But I haven't received/withdrawn money from mylot for the less money. But my credit card is with 2 kinds of currency - CNY and USD. So there won't be trouble to receive money here. But there is really hard to draw the money. We can just paying by credit card. Now I'm learning more about it. I hope it's useful for you.

I have two credit cards -- one is a Visa (an extension of my mom's), and one is a Mastercard, which I use more since I'm the primary cardholder. I only use the Visa for family-related expenses. I think one credit card is enough actually, so that it's easier to keep track of my expenses on credit and it's also easier to pay when the bill comes. So far I haven't incurred any monthly charges because I pay on time.

i think one credit card is enough already. Having another one would be great. But the catch is, since most card companies charge an annual fee-- that would mean you'll be paying two annual fees in a year. Another thing, you might get carried away by the convenience of charging you'll end up maxing out your limit to both cards. At least if you have one, less trouble.
