What Is Your FAVORITE Chili Recipe?

My favorite would have to be regular red chili with beans. I sometimes put it on a bed of spaghetti noodles. I also really like red chili with chicken and corn.

I like red chili the best and I love making it in my slow cooker. Here is the basic recipe I use... 1 can. kidney beans 1 jar Salsa (whatever heat you like) 2 lbs. ground chuck, browned 2 med. onions, chopped 1 can green chilis 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 to 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper cayanne pepper to taste Put all ingredients in crock pot in order listed. Stir. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or high for 5 to 6 hours. NOTE: When using canned beans drain the liquid. Top with sour cream and cheddar cheese. Eat with tortilla chips.

That one recipe I gave you for very cold days. But on not so cold days or days where I've worked out in the cold for a bit, I have another recipe I use. You are welcome to it if you want it. Just come track me down Vac.

hi thevacuous1, My favorite chili if the white/chicken chili. For a variety, I occasionally make a vegetarian chili and have hotdogs or sausage with it as a side for meat lovers. The Old fashioned red chili is very popular with my children. Most of them prefer the red chili, because that is the only one I made when they were little. Most of them have tried the chicken chili and like it real well. So depending on who my guests are, I will fix the chili that they prefer. Happy posting..
