My sister and I are finally communicating!

Some of you may remember that I had posted a discussion a while back about my not hearing from my sister for so long that it really hurt. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to send "just one more" letter to her, telling her how I felt. I told her that I felt like she didn't want me for a sister, and I asked her what the deal was. About a week later, I actually got a letter back from her! I was ecstatic! She answered a lot of my questions, and she told me some things that didn't surprise me....about how I used to seem to "need" the family only when I was flat broke and having money problems (which unfortunately was true....I used to be VERY selfish and somewhat uncaring when I was younger). Anyway, she went on to tell me that she wanted us to get our relationship back on track, and she even invited me to come and stay with her sometime. We've emailed back and forth a few times since then....since that's our favorite form of communication. I think we are finally becoming a family again. Big hugs to everyone.

I am so very, very happy for you. It is so important that family not only stays close, but is there for one another. I have had some issues with family over the years, but for the most part, we have always come back together in harmony and it is a really good feeling, congratulations.

I'm so glad you and your sister are mending your relationship. I don't know what I'd do if me and my sister ever got a wedge between us.

That is wonderful! I am so glad to hear that. Family is the most important thing in the world, and I'm glad you two didn't give up on each other. Hopefully this is just the beginning for even more things to come that bring you closer.

i'm so happy to hear that,and i hope all goes well with you and your sister because even though we all have hard times with our families,we still end up having each other and thats the most important thing is the love of our family,no matter how mad or upset we can get with one another sometimes.family is such a strong bond and if we can mend that bond and hold on to it,its a beautiful thing.im glad you guys are the mend right now and it will bring you guys closer together again.hugs.pattie

Your relationship with your family is a very important aspect of your life! She probably is angry of your former mistakes she probably forgave you! Try to let her know that she can depend on you!

Oh I am soooo happy for you Katlady. That is wonderful. You have given me hope for my situation also. I started a discussion this week about my sister in law, I too started a letter last night, one of those "one more time" letters. I didn't finish it and I didn't save it, but I think I may start one over and give it a try. You have really inspired me. I wish you the best of luck in restoring your relationship with your sister. So very glad to hear you sis finally replied back. Least now you know why she has been avoiding you and now can mend 'broken fences' and rebuild your relationship back up with her.

Hi Katlady. It's great to hear that you and your sister's relationship is getting back to the track, it's great. I can't imagine how will it be if my sister disown me, most probably I can never stand it even for one minute. Anyway, everything is over and you have all back. It's good and stay happy always!

I am happy that you and your sister finally becom a family again. I think family relations are very impotant for us. Our life will be meaningless without them.
