Palawan is one of the best tourist destination here in the Philippines. I only had a chance to see it last March and I was so fascinated and I fell in love with the place... Our trip thee was so fun. It was my first time to do snorkeling for real! and went inside a an Undergound river!

I was there together with my co-workers in December 2005. It was a company christmas party and yearly meeting. We went boating and had our lunch in Arenas Island (I hope I am not wrong with the name). We were supposed to go to the underground river but the weather didn't permit us to go there. There was a typhoon coming that day so the waves were really huge. We had a tour also in the Crocodile conservation center, butterfly garden, Mitra's farm and house, we had a seafood eat-all-you-can lunch at Badjao's Restaurant (it's located in the middle of a mangrove plantation) and more. It was really fun and I love the place so much. I have a plan to go there again in the future.

You're right sis, It's a very nice place for a vacation, me and my friends only stayed there for 5 days but we fell inlove with the place. We had a 9 hour roadtrip going to EL NIdo but it was worth it when you reach the place! The view was very breathtaking... Plus, we met the mayor at the airport and had our picture taking! Isn't that great? That's what made our trip to Palawan complete! hehehe. The next time you go to Palawan, I suggest you try the Vietnamese Village. The food there was great!;)

Wow! Meeting the mayor surely is plus factor! You're like VIP's on your visit, huh, with the mayor in the airport. LOL... Sure sis, next time I'll go there we are going to check Vietnamese Village. Can you give me an idea where is that located? Is it in Puerto Princessa?

I visited there last year (Aug 2011) with my 7 co-workers. We went to Coron Palawan and I was "love at first sight". We went to see the corals, fishes with different colors and the Maquinit Hot Spring :D (hot hot hot! yay! I wanna go back there now). The place is so quiet with fresh air and a lot of beautiful sceneries to look for. We've been to Kayangan Lake and I was so exhausted stamping my feet (since I dunno how to swim) and I moved too slow, no matter how I try xD, poor me. But on the other hand I felt so happy, the place is just too beautiful to even get tired.
Next target, Puerto Princesa Palawan

I have been to El Nido, Palawan and I must say that the beaches and islands there are breathtaking and world class. I never thought such islands are here in our own country. When I went there, I thought that it is the best place for the Hollywood movie, The Beach because it is so beautiful and very perfect as tropical paradise setting in a Hollywood Movie. :)

There are so many places to see in Palawan. We were there last year and the place is really breath taking. There are so many things to do there. We tried fire fly watching in Iwahig, visited the penal farm in Iwahig as well. This is the largest penal institution in our country with no wails. The prisoners can roam freely and do work on the fields as their punishment. We went snorkeling (my first too)at Honda Bay , had a mangrove paddle tour just near the port where you usually go on your way to the Underground River. The limestone mountains are a great sight to see too.
I really want to go to Palawan and explore Coron and El Nido. Geez! I can't get enough of Palawan!

Palawan is one of the nicest places in the Philippines. I went to Puerto Princesa and Coron. Both towns are quiet and simple... It is a great place to commune with nature. I like the Underground River. It is a bit eerie but exciting. I like the Iwahig prison. I wish I could have stayed there even for one night just to experience being in an open prison. I like Snake Island. It is where I first saw a pillar of fish swimming around just like in a NatGeo series. hehehe... I like Luli island. It stands for LUlubog LIlitaw depending on the tides. hehehe... They have a 10 foot high diving board where you can see the view of how clear the water is beneath it and of course dive into the water... In Coron, I like the Makinit Hotspring. That is the first saltwater hotspring I've been to. Try climbing Tapyas hill and be amazed by the view of Coron Bay. Also, go to Kayangan Lake. The cleanest lake in the Philippines. I love Calauit Island. It is an island converted into an open safari. You can see giraffes, zebras, gazelles, impallas and deers roaming around freely. You can also feed the giraffe if you want. And while in Coron, go island hopping. Pick among hundreds of islands with white sand beaches and have a relaxing day or two just enjoying the sun, sea and sand... :D

Yes I have been in palawan a few years back.
We did enjoy the place, its very cool. If I will go back, I guess I will stay much longer 2 nights and 3 days is not enough to travel and see the place. There are so much to see and many things to do in Palawan. I can't wait to back soon.
Save those pictures dued8jam, so that you can share them when you reach 500 postings lol.

Its a nice place. I have been there maybe 5 years ago and the place was so clean and many interesting place to go. The underground river, the Iwahig colony, Mitra house, butterfly haven, the crocodile place and many more. Have you voted the place to be the 8th wonder of the world, if not please do so.

Yep the underground river was great. The Iwahig Prison was also great. I got to buy an orange shirt with a big letter "P" at the back like prisoner. I also bought a stick for stick fight there.
