I've tried everything from the Stroll to today's latest dance (whatever it's called..lol) but I think I would have to say that Disco dancing was my all time favorite! For one thing I totally enjoyed the music even though a lot of people say it all sounded the same...I still loved it! I found it so easy to learn and loved the way I could always "improvise" moves and still look awesome on the dancefloor.
Is there a specific dance that you enjoyed doing? Did the music have anything to do with it? In your lifetime have you experienced many different types of dancing?

It was on 14th of feb when I gave my friends my bday party. It was a DJ party and the song which made us all crazy was summer of 69. As we all beacame graduate this year and were about to go to different places for job and further studies, this song was best as per that moment. Those memories are worth anything in this world.

Yes, music does bring back a lot of memories. I remember the disco era as being the best part of my life.

I was reflecting on the connection between music and our memories when I raised a point on another thread titled "How do I love thee, let me count the ways"

" You are the Dancing Queen".Disco was great. But my favorite was the music and dancing of the 80's.I liked the electric slide and all the "New Wave" music. I remember doing the Rock Lobster. It was great.

I grew up in the 60's and the 70's and the disco era, and it was a fun time, my favorite dance bak in them days was what we called the Bump, and the Electric Slide,LOL. I love dancing, and when I was growing up I was in Tap, Ballett, and Jazz so I have done all types of dancing in my time.

I can take it all the way back to the 50s, ctry, when it comes to music and dancing. I used to really "cut the rug." The last dance that I was really serious about would have to be The Butterfly, circa early 90s. Shortly after that I broke my ankle and my dancing all but came to a standstill. I remember the Stroll. It was a great dance. I also enjoyed the many variations of the Twist. I learned so many of them over the years that I would be hard pressed to choose a single favorite.

I was too young in the 50's to have been able to enjoy some of the dances of the time but I do remember them!

Being the metal chick I was as a youth I didn't do anything that was real dancing. I did like to groove to reggae though.
My only dance partner now is my Broom and I have to lead! LOL
Honestly last dance I learned was the Hamster Dance. Jeepers I am such a mom. LOL

The icky shuffle and the monster pit mash if you are talking about real dancing. But yes there is a catch. Its used more for victory dancing in games.
As for another answer, I play pump it up and stepmania/ddr casually. :D
So I'm getting my 3 step, hops and spins in order.

i love dancing! and i have love a lot of dance craze since i was in high school. it was usually a dance popularized by a local dance group which was a mainstay in a favorite noon-time show. there was macarena, tootsie roll, beautiful life, i saw the sign, get down, and a lot lot more.^__^ i was a member of our highschool little dance group. LOL
and then when i went to college i was still a dance freak. i loved almost anything and i created some of my own dance steps (because i had to because we always volunteered to do a special number LOL) and we have done all for you, bring it all back, and some mixed songs and modern jazz.^__^no im working, i still dance together with some officemates and the last dance craze we did on the dance floor was a local hit called "itaktak mo".^__^

I love dancing in all its various forms including disco. Music maatters a lot. Not only does it reflect the sentiment of the particular dance style but it has an influence over the mood of the dancers. Compare a gyrating jive with a dreamy waltz.I am always interested in knowing people's favourite dance tunes - what makes them head for the floor everytime. I have started listing 10 good dance tunes for different dance styles on my web site.
