i sometimes get offended if i put a bit of thought into a response and i get ignored but a lot of others get answered. am i right to take the humph?
i noticed it tonight. no great shakes. but i did put some thought into my answer and got no acknowledgement while most of the other replys did. i also noticed this was someone i had not responded to before while all the responses from this person were ' i always love your replies'.
this happens now and again, i notice as i like to do new discussions replies and i wonder should i not bother?
i know the person in question will never get a response from me again , but am i being petty?
what do you all think?
(and don't think im going to answer all the responses!)

I am not able to figure out what exactly you are trying to say. The discussion topics are meant for members to give responses and there is no compulsion that you have to respond. If you give responses, you earn money. If you post a discussion topic there is compulsion that others should respond. If the topic catches the attention of mylot members, then you get the responses. It is always better to avoid any controversial topics which may hurt the feelings of others and try to be just, frank, and factful.

hi i agree with you regarding we are not obliged to respond.... we're here in a great online community that pays us a couple of cents for adding our "2 cents" to others thoughts and discussions... good day

It depends on the poster Xbox. Some will respond to all of them, others respond to some. And then there are those that just want responses and have no intention to respond to responses. Others simply don't get around to it. It gets worse if that person starts a lot of discussions day after day, only a few can really keep up.
If you feel your response needs to be read by the OP, add them as a friend then kindly ask them to look at the response. Its better than nothing and some members might oblige.

you are right, this was a person i responded to for the first toime. partly because i enjoy responding to people i have never spoken with. it just kind of got to me because of a new person responds to me i like to acknowledge the fact they had no need to respond. different mindsets i guess.

hi... pls. don't get offended... we're here in a great community of people coming together from all over the world. and take note pls, people, who have schedules and work, so like me, i can't check on all responses that i get to my post/topic started on a daily basis but as soon as i have an extra time, i try to say thank and respond to all who resplied (to my topic started)... and i turned on the notication email feature sent to my bulk folder so i can track the responses that i received and makes it easier for me to access, instead of opening all the discussions i started, saves time and effort. Take care... and good day. happy mylotting

Actually it will depend on your mood at that present time. For me put up a comment to responder on their response is a must as to appreciate their time, efforts and thoughts.
Even though we only need one response to qualify us for our user's rating and earning added to our current achievement, but a way of respect to our responders.
If my response didn't paid attention by poster, I don't mind and I conclude my response maybe not attractive enough by poster to "jerk" poster's feeling. I don't take serious on this matter and no revenge. Because I dislike revenge element to stay in my life.

its alright my firned not to reply to a respond. because i know we are all busy posting in mylot trying our best to respond with every discussion we come thorugh and very few only again come back to answer the respond of a respond so if you ask me its just alright. no problem to me.

I try to respond to all my postings. However there have been times where I didn't have anything to say. I think not responding to someone because they didn't respond to you is silly. But that is just me. I don't think you should take it personally. Maybe they just didn't have anything to say.

Yes, I think you are being a little petty. Especially since you make a declaration that you will not be replying to responses. Perhaps it is not that they dislike you, or your posts. Perhaps it is that your posts are not as open, and inviting of reply, as others?
I say, meh, whatever. Express your thoughts, add your cents to the pool and keep rolling. Having replies does not validate your point. Lacking them does not invalidate it either.

Hi, it does bother me,. I see people do it like they pick who they answer. I try to when i can go in so who talked to me and answer them all. I also try to check all my friends out and see what they started.

I don't think you should get offended. It is not compulsory for someone to respond to your posts. I'm still new here but not once did it ever occur to me that everyone should respond to someone's posts. Yes, you put a lot of thought to your reply, I do too. I just like to think that if they do read my response to their discussion at least, even if they don't reply, I was able to tell them what I think, and that's what matters to me.

Have y'all noticed that they don't give you a point if you keep responding to the same discussion? Sometimes I don't bother to respond because of this, unless I absolutely feel it is necessary! But I do try to respond at least once to every discussion I am able to!
