Are you still using your air conditioner?

We live in the south, so it's not uncommon to run the air conditioner late into fall. Last year, it didn't get really cold until Christmas day. As is, it's early November and we still use our air conditioner on a daily
basis. Funny thing, it's actually cheaper to run our air conditioner in the fall than it was during summer time.
Are you still using your air conditioner? When will you start using your heaters? When does it get cold in your area?

We are definitely not still using our air conditioners. We are using the heater. We've been using the heater for over a month now. It's been pretty cold several days. Next week the windchill is supposed to be below zero several times, and the actual temperature isn't expected to even get up to 35 degrees or so.

I'm still running my air conditioner. I run mine pretty much all year around, except when there is a rare snow. The reason is because I live in an upstairs apartment. My downstairs neighbors are like a bunch of hot coals.

I live in Prescott, an hour away from Phoenix Arizona and a mile up. In November, it tends to be 70 degrees, inside it feels like 80. I'm on medication that makes me feel ten degrees warmer than that.

I also run an evaporative cooler. That is a fan with ice cubes under it. The ice cubes evaporate under the blades of the fan, blowing cooler air at the person the fan is pointed at. I use this where I don't have airconditioning, as I don't have central heat and air.

I live in the south too and we are still using the air conditioner. Right now it feels like a hot summer day. It doesn't even feel like November. It starts to get cold, which is about 50 to 40 degrees, in the middle part of December. Thats when we usually turn the heater on. I'm still dreaming of a white Christmas.

I do not use my air conditioner in the fall. I use it only in hot summer. In winter I use a heater instead of the air-conditioner. I love the warm air blown from the heater, so warm and I can also put my feet before the heater for warmth.

Would you believe, we dont have airconditioner at home. We have only electric fans in every room of our house. We have open windows and fresh air comes in. Even in our house in the province we dont need airconditioner, because our windows are open, fresh air comes in and there is no pollution. Here in the city, in our office we have airconditioners because all windows are closed and no air to come in. But your airconditioners must be be cleaned most of the time or else the dirt that it will give will cause some sickness in you and your family.

I live in Minnesota. I use a window air conditioner. I took it out
and stored it in mid September as it was starting to cool off. I use fans right now on warm days if needed. My furnace is the type that the pilot light lights itself when the thermostat kicks the furnace in to heat the house. I have it set at 66 degrees so it's gone on a lot late at night as we've had a few days in the 30's and 20's alreadsy.

Here in Italy it's not very cold and in these days it's raining, so we don't see the air conditioner. In about one month we will use the conditioner for the hot air because the winter will come here.

No way. We quit using it last month (September) and haven't turned on the heat yet...probably not for a little longer anyways. We try to leave it off as long as possible b/c we like the tiny electric bills.

Hello there. I live in Singapore. It's hot and humid all year round. Air conditioner plays an important part of my life. There are air conditioner in all public and private buildings. My room also has air conditioner installed. I do not turn on my air conditioner the whole day. I only turn it on when I feel hot.

Hello! I live in North Carolina and with most years, we are wearing shorts on Christmas day. It generally is cold for us in January and Febuary and then starts warm up again. Now, this year we have head some unusually cold days lately. So where I would have not normally turned off my ac by now, this year I am going back and forth between my heat and ac. The reason it is cheaper to use the ac now versus the summer is because it is not as hot and humid outside right now, so your unit is not pushing as hard to keep it cool in your house, thus saving on energy. My absolute favorite time s late fall and early spring when I don't have to have either the ac or heat on and can just open the windows.

We never use our air conditioner even though it gets extremely hot here. Reason being, our air conditioner uses a ton of electricity and barely works. However, we're still opening our windows to cool down the house as well as using the fan. The weather here is currently going back and forth between being cold and being warm. During the winter, we never use the heater as we feel no need for it, we just bundle up more. The reason your air conditioner is cheaper to run during the fall than in the summer is probably due to the cooler temperatures. There's less work for it.

It usually starts getting cold here in the middle of October, heck it used to get cold in September here, but not anymore. It's November here, and it's about 60 degrees outside right now. OUr air conditioning was just turned off in my building a few days ago. So, if it gets warm, we open the windows because it's really cool enough to allow the air to stream through the apartment and cool the place down enough. If it gets really cold outside and in the apartment, we turn the heat one. We've only had to use it a few times though.

The weather is getting colder and colder, so I will use air conditioner again. The air conditioner also can heat. Today the temperture is low, I wear a sweater now. In my location, the winter is cold but the temperture is not the lowest in my country because there are many rainy days in winter. It makes me feel colder than other places. I do not like that weather.
