He did a good job on the shirt but the pants well lets just say Okay!LOL I think he might need some more practice. Should I let me continue to iron?

Oh yes, by all means let him keep on ironing! My hubby also irons. That is one chore that I despise! My hubby does a great job too, much better that I do. I usually sweet talk him into ironing my stuff when I need something ironed.

Congrats! I hate iron myself and that is why I am also happy that my husband can iron his shirts himself! It is such a big relief.

ROFL Now that he's told on himself maybe he should keep doing it. :) My husband does his own ironing. He only irons his uniforms, anyway, so it's not like we have to break out the ironing board, iron and starch often. He usually just trys to catch them before they come out of the dryer. Most of the others need to be drycleaned. He said that he was responsible for doing them before we got married so there is no reason I should have to do them now. lol Works for me!! I hate ironing! :D

The only time my husband ever irons is when I am too sick to iron his work clothes then he has no choice but to do it himself. Good on your husband for helping you out :) I wish mine did it more often LOL

Just encourage him to do his best at least he did try and as you said he did a pretty decent job of the shirt. My husband would rather look like a street person than pick up an iron. No kidding. Take care my friend.

Oh boy, that's wonderful. Maybe you can give him lots of practice, by throwing some of your stuff in. lol After he gets real good at that, you can teach him something else. It's nice that you have a man willing to learn new things. I can't even get mine to do the old stuff.

If he can do a good job, then yes. I'm sure with practice he could do a good job even on the pants. Years ago my husband was headed to work and I said that shirt needs to be ironed and he said he had just ironed it!! I don't think he ever really tried to do a good job, that way I would do it for him.

Well grats to your husband Terry! But seriously the effort should be noted and he can get ironing down easy. Usually its this 1. Set iron to cloth type 2. Press/"iron" cloth until wrinkles disappear 3. ?????? (Something happens) 4. Profit. Just be sure to encourage him from time to time so he'll see it as a good thing and so he can get better at it. Of course, he'll make his own decisions on the matter, but at least you can help coerce him a bit.

Hurrah it is your victory. Ladies are supposed to do every house related work. But we wish congratulation to you as your husband is performing this duty well. He ironed his shirt for work. But let me tell that, how did you train him? Most of the husbands assume and behave their wife as their Female servants. Some husbands behave like a master and slave. But few are like your good husband, who share the help in work of the home. Those are really good husbands.

My husband can iron really good but, since he retired from the Army he thinks that the dryer can do the ironing for him.LOL. Oh and he has taught my son to iron with the dryer!LOL Keep encouraging him.
