How do you come up with new topics?

I have been on here quite a while, and I am beginning to run out of ideas for new discussions to start. I use real life situations, especially if I have a burning question the family can't answer, things I see on tv, and the news. But I am just about tapped out. How do you come up with ideas for new discussions?

Hi,i really dont know.I could be in town or somewhere and something just pops in my head, maybe of life or something that has happened to me that day or before and i decide whether i "should"put it or not. Most of the time i do not because i want to avoid confrontations and arguements, hahaha!I have my wisdom speaking for me now, hehe. Its hard because you want to put something and you look and someone else just started the same thing you were going to start, thats a bummer! Peanutjar:)

You know what? I have a lot of ideas when I'm out and about too. The trouble is I have a bad short term memory, so by the time I get back to my computer, I've forgotten all about what I was going to discuss. That's if I remember to go to the computer at all. *Sigh* I need a notepad clipped to my clothing lol.

I usually do stuff in my life that is going on too. If there isn't really much happening then I don't make many discussions. Though I did start to write down things that happened so that I can post about them later.

There are times when I go to bed that they just flow out like water. I keep a notepad and pen by my bed and in the morning I get to decipher my scribblings. "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have noticed that sometimes some discussions will spark new questions that aren't answered. I will start to use those as well to start new discussions.

I have found many different views on discussions that I have posted, and I welcome each one. It helps me to learn about other cultures and other viewpoints.

I just hate to take another's idea and post it myself. I have seen a few times where someone takes the idea I had for a discussion and puts it up themselves. I'm always like come on. Be original.

For me, it depends on the mood I am in really, and the type of situations that could be going on in my life at the time. Sometimes it could also be on a News event or a burning Question I have on something I have been thinking about. Personally, there are not the lengthy discussions started on here like back in the old days when this site was so New. But I still like to come up with discussions of all types, and see out of curiousity which discussions might earn me the most. The only thing I wish, is we earned from every time someone responds to one of our discussions even if we have not visited here for the day. Then it would help motivate some of us even more.

We don't earn if we don't visit that day? Thanks for the info, I never knew that.

Well I don't start discussions that much, lucky enough if I'd start one in a month. But if ever I have started one, I'll make sure that it's interesting enough for other posters to respond at and would benefit everyone for the informations shared there. I came from the Philippines, which is a country that is rich in culture and traditions. Those are the on'es I usually start here, I always let every member know what my contry is all about and what is happening. Since this site is all about discussing and sharing opinions, I make sure that I respond to every response I receive to consider it as a discussion!;) There are other members out there who start post and spam this site with nonsense topics and others just post for money, they don't respond to it since they thought that they could earn more by receiving loads of responses. I see them really desperate for the money, since they don't consider commenting on the responders who posted on their discussion.

I usually just respond to discussions myself, but I thought that I wasn't getting the full experience if I did that. I mean, if everyone just responded instead of actually posting discussions, there would be nothing to respond to. I do look forward to seeing your discussions, I love learning about different cultures.

It can be hard yes... especially if inspiration runs out. :( Perhaps you can try reading. Books or the newspapers. And see if your mind can "jump" to any interesting topic while reading about something.

I do a lot of reading of novels, but lately I haven't been able to get my hands on any new ones. Maybe its time to stock up again!

I have a very hard time coming up with questions... because I'm a know-it-all!LOL! What I do think of has already been asked and answered to my satisfaction... I don't want to post just for points. But I'll sneak one in once in a while... I just did!

I post both for points and for content. I mean, I won't post to every discussiong that comes across my mailbox, but I try to post to each one that I feel is of some interest to me!

HI, I don't start discussions if I have nothing on my mind to discuss. :) Lately, I have been responding to topics of discussion that interest me, like yours. :) It is more fun for me to respond to topics of discussion rather than start discussions, lately.

I feel that a lot, but I am usually the one that starts discussions in my household, I feel that I should be able to carry that over to here too.

Normally to come up with a discussion I either one, come up with random crap that I want to see what other people's responses would be, or two, I look at the other conversations and see what kinds of conversations people respond to most and start form there. The more people that are interested in what you're writing about the better because the more people visit the more money you make!

If I have something on my mind, I write about it. It doesn't take much for me to write. If it's on my mind, chances are it will appear somewhere on the internet at some time in the near future.

Sometimes I use news topics to do it, if I think its something worth sharing, its a new discussion. Other times its things I feel like posting. Just recently I had two long philsophical threads. Kind of running alongside two other long renewable energy threads I had. For me, discussions can be a mixed bag, but there's plenty to reply to at least.
