I am sure that many of you have had a job in your life that you hated with passion. In my case, the worst job i've ever had is one i had at the offices of a huge delivery company here. There was a lot of pressure put upon us and the paying was ridiculous. Anyway, I still managed to be the best at my job, but i quit as soon as i could.
Have you ever had any bad experiences at work? why didn't it go well?

I used o work at checkout in Tesco xD Boy that was a terrible experience. Not only because my back started to hurt after a weak but also because of some clients. I don't know why some people can't understand the way market works:/ Once there was a lady whoshowed me obviously not fresh (rotten to be exact) meat and started to yell at me... while I had nothing to do with it. And there was the other one who bring a pland to checkout without a code to scan. So I tell her I can't scan it and she replies in anger "I know! It has no code! So go and bring me the one with a code attached!". Geez, instead of asking someon who works in the plan department:/
So I don't want to work on this possition even again-_-

Hello LightninStrike,
My worst ever job was one life experience that brought me a very deep, new-found respect for the folks who do the job. That job was as a waitress.
I absolutely stunk at it! For any good waitress/waiter to really excel at their work, they must have a highly developed sense of timing. And, mine was the worst, when it came to serving meals. After three weeks I retired my apron. It was very clear to me that there were many others better equipped for this specific line of work.
Of course, as mentioned, the experience forever shaped my perspective about the men and women who attend to our dining needs in public. Not surprisingly, for the whole of my adult life I have been an excellent tipper!

I experienced working on pharmaceutical warehouse, I don't like the place since it's dirty and dusts are all-over me. Plus, my co-workers looks untidy and inconsiderate to other wokers. And when I'm going to fetch some items on my station, I have to climb up using a forklift and standing on a pallet just to simply dispose the exact amount I have to pull-out.
It is very dangerous, so I have decided to quit the job since I am payed less and I have realized that my life is not worth the money I receive there!;)

My first job was my worst job, i worked for a company where i have to call up somebody asking for somebodys address and numbers to reach them. It sounds easy but when you are on the call you will know what the job really is, they will shout at us saying that they never heard of the person that i am looking for and requesting us not to bother them and most of them are Irate yelling at us that they know the person that we are looking for but they won't give us any information. It was a very tiring as well as very frustrating job that i have ever done.

My worst job was working at a tropical fish distrpution center. I dont think any work place in the world could smell worse walking into at 11 am in the morning. The hours were the worst we would start at 11 am and work till finish which since they closed 1 of the 3 centers we had are work plus theirs, most of the time we would work till 7am and start again at 11.I would just sleep in my car in the parking lot and the longer this went on the more people quit the longer it would take. Are job was mainly to count fish and put them in bags and then put the bags in boxes to be shipped to all the mejiers and walmarts in ohio and michigan it sucked but i made a lot in overtime. We would only work 4 days a week though?

the worst job i ever had was when i was working for Kirby Vacuums. i wasnt the door to door salesman (thankfully) BUT i was the person who went door to door trying to get the ppl to sign up for an in-home demonstration by the salesman!! lmao! the worst part?? it was by commision..i didnt earn anything unless the ppl gave their info and wanted to see the latest and greatest vacuum cleaner!
to say the least, i didnt make very much..i think the most i made in one days of work (about 5hrs) was $25.00!! mostly i was lucky to come home with $10.00!!! ugh..i will never do anything remotly like that again!

My worst job was at a diner. I started off as a waitress but the bosses niece was also a waitess and was jealous of the amount of tips I was getting so I got moved to the kitchen. The other kitchen crew were very rude to me at the beginning and the boss always had it in for me ecause I was pregnant and she couldn't conceive. She even stated that she didn't like pregnant women. She over worked me (11-13 hour shifts some days) and refused to give me my days off for doctor's appointments. I was constantly overing for the other employees when they wouldnt show up but she had an absolute fit when my sitter cancelled on me at the last minute. After we had a confrontation over that and the fact that she had me scheduled for the weekend I'd asked to have off a month in advance I left and never went back. She refused to give me my last weeks paycheck.

Well being a waitress is really tough, and if the boss' niece is jealous of you then things get even worse, no doubt. Anyway, there are stupid people everywhere and it's good that you're over it. thank you for replying.

It was a TGIF that has since closed down due to the bad location.
Most restaurants I've worked in have some sort of rotation system in place so that each server gets a table in turn. This place didn't. And it was in such a bad location that it didn't get too many patrons. The other waiters/waitresses that were more outgoing than myself, read 'cut-throat... stood at the door and grabbed people as they came in. I was too embarrassed to do that so I usually ended up coming home with no money. I think the most I made there was 7 dollars... and I have worked at places where I came home with as much as 300 dollars in a night!
I quit after about a week. It was awful!

My worst job was as a headhunter. I had to cold call people and try to convince them to come in to interview. We called from a "blind line" so no one knew where we were calling from. We were not allowed to say the name of the company unless the person seemed interested in coming in. It was really shady.

well, for me, i wouldn't use the worst job... but the harderst job that i have which i am still doing it until now... it is a cashier in a big retail company... it is ridiculous how tiring and demanding the job is... i have to keep on dealing with angry and complaining customers... also, answering their obvious questions... and i have to repeat myself a million times... i hate it... i love my company... the payment is also great... i only hate dealing with the nasty customers... unfortunately, there are many of them in my company...

That depends on your definition of "worst". The yuckiest job I had (actually, it was a detail in the Army, but we'll go with it here), was burning the buckets under the outhouses. It was in Saudi Arabia after Desert Storm. Our unit's job was pretty much done, but we hadn't got our orders for redeployment back home... so our days were basically spent doing jobs around the camp that needed to be done whether there was fighting or not... Me and 4 others spent from 7 to 4, 7 days a week burning the 14 buckets.
The job I hated most was in a factory on the line. I hated the fact that my nights were spent being a machine. Nothing about me mattered, as long as I could put the pipes in the machine and hit the buttons to punch the bolt holes. It was a horror I hope to never have to return to.

Honestly? I can't really any of the jobs that I had as anything but bad. I just learned so much from them and they were far from bad. I am also one of those busy bodies or do gooders that just would take additional load and pressures as challenges. I remember one time thinking of quiting a certain job because i was overpaid for the work. LOL! Now that is irony if i might say!

Hi,there! Well,my first job was not so good. I don't like it too much. But I won't consider it as a worst job cause though I don't like the management of the company,I still learnt many things from it.So it has the bad side but also has taught me a lesson and made me experience sth that I've never experienced before. My second job is my current one.I like it and I like the environment and the company too.I hope I could be very professional with my current job:) Thanks for the topic and have a nice day!
