They threw a brick through my window and stole my laptop, my PS2, PS2 games, my Gamecube, Gamecube games, and my webcam. I haven't noticed anything else missing, so everyone be careful this season. This is the 3rd time this week I've heard of someone getting robbed, and I was number 3. People are stealing things to either pawn or give for Christmas. I just wanted to give a warning to everyone on mylot.

Oh my God, that's awful! Poor you.
I think it somehow makes it worse, that it's so close to the holidays (not that having your property stolen at ANY time of year is a pleasant experience!) - it's as if people have no hearts nowadays - it's every man for himself, so to speak, and it makes me quite sad that people are so desperate to get money / gifts for Christmas - that's not what the holiday's about, for God's sake! What ever happened to traditional values?

That is so horrible. I hope that you had insurance to cover the items. The good thing is that no one was hurt or anything. Hope things get better for you and thanks for the warning.

I'm sorry to hear that...these days, we really have to be extra careful...I'm happy that even when you were robbed, you are still safe...that's truly scaring..I mean being robbed. I don't know but criminality is really on the rise...and the helpless victims are always the losers...

Yea I feel your pain. My family was robbed, first time was someone went through my CDs my CD club mailed and stole a few of them! Second time was when some neighboorhood kid robbed four dollars in change from my dad's car (that's all that was taken because there was other valuables in there as well). However, to break someones door to steal presents is surprising to me! :(. I will pray for everyone.

This has to be absolutely devastating!!! I have never had the misfortune, thank goodness. What is a person to do hire a guard when we have to leave the house? This is ridiculous, three times a week tells me it'll only get worse right? I'm so sorry you had to go through this. What will you do now? Are you covered by insurance? The thing is it's not just a case of money but to think someone was snooping through your stuff, that's creepy. Take Care.

That is terrible, I am so sorry to hear this. My house has never been robbed. But, I was robbed at gunpoint and I felt so violated. It literally makes you sick. I hope that they will not only find this person, but recover the items that were taken. HUGZ.

That's really horrible. Especially since they stole such expensive things. But be thankful they only stole replaceable things... you know, look at the bright side of things.
Do you think anyone knew you had those things and that's why they picked you? Do you live in a bad neighborhood? Fortunately I don't have windows that anyone can get into because I live on the second floor... plus I live in a garage so my landlords house would more likely get broken into than mine I'm sure, since they'd just think this was a garage!
But I hope things work out better for you in the future.

it pisses you off doesnt it, the factthat people have been in your houseand gone through your stuff, my uncle got robbed a few week ago. they went in his bedroom and pulled all the draws out, taking the duvet of the bed. then wrapping him 42 inch lcd tele in it, and guess what nobody say anything. i mean come on in broad daylight, though if it happened to the onlookers then it would prove a very differant story.
all the smack heads know people are buying gifts as well so they think lets steal all those kiddies chrimbo presants so we can get another fix, its just degrading.

Hi,there! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been stolen and lost so many valuable things. It's really bad during the holiday season. I just hate people who always do such things to hurt other people. So did you call the police? What did they say? Is it easy to catch the robbers? I think you'd better try some other devices to protect your house. Maybe you can use some alarms so that they'll ring when there's sth wrong. Best wishes and good luck.Hopefully the police will catch the criminals soon and you can get your things back!

Holy cow! I'd be really upset if that happened to me.
Do the cops have any leads? I'm sure you probably won't get your stuff back, but hopefully they'll be caught at least. Please tell me you have property insurance/renter's insurance or something. Man, Tatsuya, I'm really sorry this happened to you. Thanks for the warning, tho.
