My First Day Is Done

My first full day on myLot is done. I have enjoyed meeting some people, making a few friends, chatting it up, and of course posting. I think I will really like myLot.
I must admit that I some how skipped over the guidelines for posting. When I asked about making money several people said that I should make sure I read them. So, I went back and read them. I am confused about two things. The first is thanking people for their post. The don't list includes "don't thank people for their response, this will not increase your earnings." Okay, what if you want to thank people for their response because it was a good and helpful response?
Second, people were talking about posts getting deleted. However, the only reasons I saw for a post getting deleted where things like "flaming" and posting affiliate links. Does this happen a lot? Is it often the case that people spam and are mean to one another?
Well, I thank you all for responding ahead of time, since I am not supposed to do it after you have done it. I thank you all for making my first day an enjoyable one!

I am glad you are enjoying Mylot and that your first day went really well. I do thank people for good responses because they were. I don't care if I don't get any money for it. I like to let people know I have enjoyed reading what they wrote.

Wow... welcome to mylot! I hope you enjoyed your first day as i did mine... it is really nice that you took some time to read the do's and don'ts because it is very important so as not to be disappointed when something like discussions getting deleted happens...
As to thanking everyone that responds to your post... if you will just put a one line like thank you... then that will be the problem... at least comment on the response then say thank you... that is what i always do...
I hope to see more of you here...

first of all, i want to welcome you to mylot and i'm glad that your first day here is enjoyable... hopefully you will like it here and earn lots of money by participating here... just don't break the rules here and you will be fine... enjoy your time here...

So that is one day down, I think you will do well in the future, I think Mylot says not to just say thank you to people for posting as it is a time thing but of course if you have something else to add I think it is good, and about the deleted ones well you just have to learn which topics are going against the guidelines and not post in them sometimes that is not easy as I find it hard not responding to people to wish them a happy birthda but it is against the guidlines so with someone I really like I think in the future I will leave them a private message..Goodluck to you my friend

I think you did well for your first day. Forty posts? That's more than I've done in months. It pays to use myLot if you have time on the side after work. Never mind the unpredictable things in posting here. Just keep posting and using and I guess it will all pay off in the future. A lot of users are satisfied. I must say myLot is popular with specific users who have more general interests, or at least that's how I see it in my experience and the responses I get. Thanking people for their responses? Well, it's more formal that way, which means your posts will appeal to anyone who reads them and they won't feel it's not for them to bother with.

Welcome to mylot! Don't be too worried about things, you will see how it works as you go. I sometimes thank others for their responses, but try to include why I thought their response was helpful. There are some members who simply go through every response and reply "thanks for the response". That does not earn you any more money and simply annoys people. I hope you are having a good time posting and making new friends, that is what mylot is all about!

You did extremely well for your first day. I am trying to get myself ot post more, but I guess its not as easy for me as it is for other people. I really like to post to things that interest me, but I guess I get bored sometimes. Remember they pay more for well written good topics. Spamming isn't worth it. myLot isn't all about the money so just remember to have fun! I love myLot and I regret not being so active before. Its addicting.

Responding or commenting by thanking ONLY others is what I believe mylot has sighted that point, we should also add why we thank them and point the reason on why you thank them.
As for the "dont's" in the guidelines, these all happens here and will continuously happen if they don't get familiar with the guidelines. There's also one explanation on why posts gets deleted, so I would like to take this opportunity for you to read them and be aware of.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! From what I saw of your posts you did great so just keep up the good work. It seems like sometimes there's a "rash" of deleted discussions but I don't worry about it too much as long as I know I'm not doing anything knowingly against the rules. The main thing is to be respectful to people even if you disagree with them. It's fine to give your opinion because that's what a discussion is but just don't be insulting. Some people avoid controversial posts but I don't, I enjoy a good debate and often I learn something. I've got lots of friends both here and offline that I don't agree with on everything but that's fine! It would be a pretty boring world if we were all alike and thought the same way about everything, wouldn't it? Goodnight!

Hey welcome to mylot. I am glad your first day was good for you and I am sure you will make a lot of friends. Ok first question, if you want to thank to someone, yeah you can do it. Ok, you are not paid for that, but sometimes we have just more question for the person and tell you truth if we will not comment the answers it would get bored here pretty soon. If people are mean here? I am sure you will find few of them, but the most are real nice here.
