The Bad Guy

Ok, I got to ask this. How many of you have actually heard of games that you actually play as the bad guy in it? I found out about one game and that was on a video game review with a game I didn't know existed way back for the Atari 2600. Ever heard of Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I'm sure most of you have heard of the movie but what about the game for that system. If you haven't, no big deal. You play as Leatherface. You could say the Super Mario Land 3 game, Wario is a bad guy but I wouldn't classify him as one but I wouldn't say he's a good guy either. He's a neutral character so that's why I don't consider him one except for Super Mario Land 2. Are there any other games where you actually play as the bad guy? I can't really honestly think of too many games that you actually do so to tell you the honest truth. If there are any other games that does that, post them right here and thoughts on the game if you've actually played them. That's just something I'm trying to figure out and learn more about. It's more about the Video Game Innovations and famous games. Thoughts?

GTA, Dungeon Keeper 2, any game that offers the user "choice" (Bioshock/RPGs). Played the ones named above, all fun games too.

I remember one of the PS2 Star Wars games was set up so that you could either play on the good side or evil side. The decisions you make throughout the game decide whether you are good or bad. I've never really wanted to play as a villain though. I prefer to play as an underdog hero, as clique as that may be.

to add to that, there are many free roaming games out there that allow you as the player to decide whats good and whats not. things that spring to my mind are the elder scrolls series (oblivion is part four of that) and the new game the witcher. they are both large rpg's where you decide what to do. I own Oblivion myself, but i dont know much about thw Witcher, but i read a review that compared that game to oblivion. hope this helps

Only game that crosses my mind is Stubbs The Zombie. You play as Stubbs, a zombie who is attacking innocent people and turns them into undead creatures. Those attacked become members of his team and attack others. There are also other games where the hero isnt really good, some FPS where you kill even the innocent ones for your purpose.

In Resident Evil, The Umbrella Chronicles you get to play in some parts as ALbert Wesker, which is one of the badguys in the series. A really good game if you like rail arkade shooters, its for the wii so it works damn well with the wiimote. In Half-Life Opposite Force you play as the military force sent in to the black Mesa compound to destroy any sign of the activity the ever existed. Haven't played it but that is their role when playing Half-Life. This game is for the PC, because of its age i dont think many computers would have problems running this game, haven't played it so i dont know if its worth getting. In some minigames in Paper Mario, The thousand year door you get to play as Marios Arch nemesis Bowser, King of the koopas, That goes for Super Mario RPG Legend of the seven Stars, there Bowser joins your quest as Smithy's gang forcivly take over Bowsers Castle. I love both games, have played Paper mario for almost 70 hours on my save an i feel its on of the best games ive got my hands on, btw its for gamecube. Super Mario RPG is much harder to get, but its so worth it. I feel its a more fun and humurous version of Final Fantasy.

Well, since you don't consider Wario a full-fledged bad guy, I guess I'll say Shadow the Hedgehog. In the game for Gamecube, you get to choose what path to take, whether he's good or bad, by the actions he does. I haven't played much of it, though.
