Do you use self-adhesive post-it's? - A picture of a whole lot of post it notes stuck on a wall.

Yellow. Orange. Purple. Pink. Blue. Well you name it, you have it. Run through the colors in the entire spectrum and there is likely going to be a post-it note in that color. Do you use these handy pieces of papers to note down tasks or reminders? I remember I used to do that. In fact, there are still many notes sticking on my wall right now... and I am embarrassed to report that they are coated with a cozy layer of dust. Nowadays, I use them less since an inactive person has less things to remember. And when it is just one thing or two, I sometimes just try to rely on my memory for a change. Or, I will arrange stationeries on my desk to evoke what I need to remember when I next see them. So, do you use these post-it notes? If not, how do you remember tasks?

Hello Lord! I am probably the queen of post it notes! I have every color, I have just about any shape; square, rectangle, hearts, circles, that they make. I have some with lines, some without lines, some are long some are short, lol. I use them for everything really. Reminders for myself, reminders for my hubby, little thank you notes in things. They come in really handy for just about anything. I think so anyway! I love post it notes! Bay Lay Gray xx

Haha Jill, took them long enough to start thinking outside of the box didn't it? I had some star shaped but used them all. :( Don't see them too much either. I have looked, not recently, but I try and keep an eye out for them. Goodness, I have an obsession with post its. LOL Bay xx

I do have a pink post-it... it was given to me though and up to now it is still untouched. Regarding task reminders.. I bought a notebook which I labeled " Things To Do". It is where I write things I need to do. I have divided it into daily, weekly, monthly and yearly :D. So I usually check it daily and crushed out the things I have finished and carry over to the next day those that are not done. And so I wont forget to check the note. I always have it at my table where I can easily see it so as not to overlook it.

Yes more like that. I have it for the whole day. But since I bring my work at home. I usually put a post it on things related my work specially when it needs to be done in office only to remind me to do it when I get there. :)

they really can come in handy. mostly though, I just use notepaper and a bit of tape or a bulletin board with thumbtacks ... I do have a booklet that I write notes into especially my telephone/buisness/bill transactions...and a calendar. I do keep a pad of post-its (stick ums) in my purse incase I need to leave a note for someone while out and about, or to jot down instructions given (I can easily stick the direction to go on my dash board)

Yes, I do use post it notes quite frequently. They do seem to help me know what I need to get when I go to the store, because my memory is always horrible in remembering everything at one time. I also keep them by the phone, easier to write down messages so they are not forgotten.

Oh yes, I love my post it's couldn't do without them, mine are always yellow, I don't particularly choose that colour specifically but they are the popular colour in the stores and the cheapest too, after all they go straight in the bin afterwards. I have loads of them on my desk to remind me to do stuff, it works, I don't stick them on my monitor because they have a nasty habit of falling off, top side up and they get covered, lost or forgotten, I keep them in front of my screen, the gap between monitor and keyboard.

Indeed, yellow is a popular color here too... maybe because it is bright and immediately noticeable.;)

My tasks are usually written on a to-do list, or on a daytimer. I use post-it notes mainly as book marks when I want to go back to a certain page for one reason or another (to read to someone else what I read, or if it is something I wrote I want it noted so I can go back and perhaps work a story out of it). I have small 2 1/4 inch x 1/2 inch post-its which are good to use as bookmarks. I also mark my video tapes with what show is on them with these tabs. The other ones I have are 2" x 1/2". I do have a variety of colours but I don't have the original average sized ones. They really aren't cheap if you buy the actual "Post-It" brand. But then the dollar stores ones don't stick very well.

Oh Yeah! I love post its. I dont know what I would do without them. However, they are getting very expensive to purchase. Seems I may have to go back to using plain paper. Man i do hate to do that though

That's why sometimes when I run out of them, I will just scribble on normal paper then put a paperweight on it.

Yup, I use them...in fact I think they are an absolute godsend as I am always forgetting something due to having problems with my memory. The problem is that I tend to lose the Post-It notes!!! As well as the physical paper Post-It notes, I also have a PC program that does virtual ones too, which is handy when I'm using a laptop away from home and I've lost me pen!

Oh yes, I remember those stick it programs. I played with them for some time but in the end, I decided that the convenience does not surpass the load of an additional program.:P

I do use them sometimes, if i want to jot something down that i want to make sure to remember.I have used them many times in books where i wanted to mark a page because they peel right off without tearing the paper. These are handy little stickers, but when i finish with them or whatever i jotted is over ,i will trash them...I do not like to save things that has already been done, to me that is clutter..

Wow, doesn't it cost you a lot of money (or is it available at vista too)? And it is a cool idea to market your site. People will keep looking at it while using the notes.:)

Dust... Hmm.. Why not throw them away? LOL I like the Pink and Yellow ones. =D I used to use them a lot. I used them for studying purpose. I pasted lots of them on my textbooks. I had a few open book exams before. Post-its really help. It helped me to turn to the page I want in the fastest time. =D It also helped me to Ace my paper. Now, I hardly use it. I think the last time I used it was yesterday. I wrote something on a post-it to remind my colleague to help me do some work. =D

Not thrown because they still have info I want to keep. For those whose states are too bad, I will write up the info on a new piece and replace them. Lol, never did bother much about textbooks. I relied on skimpy notes and I just stamped my beautiful handwriting on them.:P

I am a big fan of post-its. They are great as reminders especially for someone forgetful like me. I also like to cramp alot of my activities in a day to keep it eventful and these post-it notes keeps me in place and helps me complete all I intend to do on any day. :-)

I use post-its a lot. Remembering things is a really a big issue for me!! I just can't remember dates, my class schedules, my choir practise timings my friend's phone numbers oh ..there are only some things which I can actually remember otherwise theres nothing I can remember. Recently I just forgot my father's birthday!!! Now thats very bad!! But the bigger problem is sometimes I even forget to to read my own post-its reminders....now Who will remind me to read Them..!! Some times I am just so ocuppied by myself that I can't look any where else.... :P ha ha ha.. :)

I know its bad but....my father is the only one who confused me about his birthday...some years ago..!! He said that in his birth cirtificate the written date in april is wrong and then tells me that his actual month is november. But once he celebrated his birthday in both of the days..! And that confusion is still in my mind since then. :(

I used to but anymore. They kept flying everywhere, lol! I also noticed that my little bunnies are the one using it more than me. Don't know what notes they writing there. Instead, I have this nice butterfly magnet and stick anything in there. For the more important things to remember, I jutted it all down on my big planner. For the daily task, I don't need any reminder. It is branded in my brain already. :P

Well aren't all post-it's self adhesive? I've never seen one that wasn't. Anyway, I do use them at work all the time to remember things that I have to do and what not. When I'm at home I usually just create emails to myself though and that's how I remember things.

Well Post-It's area a brand name. Like Kleenex is a brand name. Kleenex are actually tissues and Post-it's are actually notepads. So it would have been more appropriate to say "Self-Adhesive Notepad" or "Sticky Notes" rather than Self-Adhesive Post-It's.

I have used them once in awhile but they never seem to stick to the surface you put them on they fall off and then you find it on the floor a few days later, instead I bought some tablets with magnets on them that I put on the fridge that way I see my notes everyday.

It might have to do with the brand. I have come across good and bad examples. Those "brand-less" ones typically are inferior - they just don't stick.
