Ok this is more like a vent session. I hate appartments! This is the only one I've ever lived in. I can't wait to get into my new house soon. From dealing with bratty kids to hearing EVERYTHING that happens in my up-stairs-neihbors! I hate how I go and do wash and people will use both dryers and washers and put their stuff in even though you are waitting. Oh it's so annoying. So is this just me or does anyone else hate living in appartments? And why do you feel the way you do about them?

Actually this is the case with with me ,but what should we do ,leave out of the appartments and find a new place to live with urself?don't u think that it is more insecure for us to live outside.it is much better to live at home.
As we go to the university we ahve to learn this kind of things how to do ur own things how to comunicate with others without hurting others feelings how furnish urself, just as a lot of people say ,unversity is the first step for us to enter the society....and just these annoy things that make us grow up.How can u learn something just staying at home?
with the time gose by I am really sure u can cope with any kinds of situations around...so just taking these annoys as a important lesson for ur future life...
Wish u good luck...
All the best ..
Molly...;-)

" u can cope with any kinds of situations around"
I can never cope with screaming crying infants all hours of the day. I'd rather live in my car than live next to a family with young kids.

LOL! I am having the same problems too. Whenever my neighbor comes back, I could hear her foot steps climbing up the stairs and when she started to cook, I could here all sorts of noises coming out from above. There was one time I had to interrupt her cooking as she was causing my baby to wake up from his nap.

I guess you are now staying in a rented apartment? Staying in your own house definitely is more comfortable, at least it is "yours" in the first place :P
I am staying in my own house - a flat under my name, but I still hear those noises you describe. How about it? Unless I stay in a bungalow...

Apartments can definitely suck! There's no doubt about that! They can suck and suck royally! But it's just part of living in them. You just have to deal with it until you can get your own house!

Ah the bratty kids. Makes me glad I'm not having any.
I lived next door to a woman who only thought that yelling at her kid was the only way he would mind. And this yelling took place all hours of the day.
Then there was the kid who thought that my front porch was the perfect place to make a skateboard ramp.
Living in your own home means you can make the rules. Just be careful when you buy: it's a lot harder to control a yelling baby next door when you own your own home than it is when you rent an apartment.
Which is exactly why my closest neighbor is over half a mile away on all sides of me. I hate neighbors as much as I hate unruly little brats.
Lucky for me, when I rented, each apartment had it's own washer and dryer hookup. I bought my own washer and dryer. I did have to go to a laundromat for a while and even though there were 20 dryers, 10 didn't work and the 10 that did, one woman had a sock, a pair of pants and one t-shirt in every one of them. She said it made them dry better. @@

Lol I would have killed that woman!!! Holy crap she would have been lovely to deal with. But I'm the one with the little kids so I feel for my neighbors. But I think my neighbor is a stripper so the middle of the night wake ups don't really bother her. Lol But she wakes up and does everything when it's nap time. So yeah not so great with the scheduals. Lol

I hate that too.I havent stayed in apartment for long, only for some days at my brother's.I hate the sounds coming from nearby apartments. However, difference is all apartments have their own washing machines and that one isnt problem.Technically speaking, i also live in apartment, but its a family house from bottom to top, 3 floors, and there is only one apartment per floor.Besides, they are relatives and its not the same like have neighboring apartments of strangers.

Hi tiffiny! I share your sentiments. I have once lived in an aprtment and i found it really weird and annoying that I get to hear conversations and actions of my next room neighbor. I can't stand confined places where my personal activities are limited. I enjoy a house where I have a garden to sit by during the afternoon and watch my kids play. I love a place where there are spaces for my kids to run and for me to grow plants. And most of all, a place where we could have all the privacy that we need.
