Why Are Some Commercials So Loud?

You'll be watching a television show, minding your business when all of a sudden your ear drums are aching. Some advertisers turn the volume on their commercials so loud, they end up being annoying and not effective.
I make sure never to buy products from those advertisers.

That's funny,i thought i was the only one who thought that.i'll be watchin t.v. and all of a sudden a commercial will come on and blast my ears out! i thought my t.v. volume was working on its own.

Oh I hate that! They do that to get your attention. Very annoying. My hearing is shot anyway, so I have the tv on a bit louder so I can hear, then those stupid commercials come on and are so loud, and it always seems to be at night when everyone else is sleeping.
