I was searching for discussions with no response and come across a touching post here in mylot. I was about to respond when my heart was touched because the young man who posted the discussion was so sincere. I thought for a while if I will continue my response. But then I thought I can't help him much, so I leave it there hoping others would help this young man. I hope this young man find the answer that could really be of help to him! Have you had some experience with the same feeling?

Yeah it has happened to me too. Some topics and discussions here are touching, the writers are sincere and sometimes i have felt sad for someone whom i saw was experiencing difficulties and searched for help.If i can really help, i do it.I dont just post to raise my replies, although i understand sometimes even a caring word can do much good.

I love to help people. And if i see someone asking for advice i generally give it. Unless of course im afraid its going to start a debate. I have felt before that i couldnt really help someone. Sometimes thats because i feel like my opinion or advice rather isnt good enough. Most of the time though i go ahead and give my advice. I mean we never know how someone will take the advice we give. I think its best to at least give it a shot.

I guess it depends on the situation. If I can share my story, that may enlighten someone, give them other options, something to think about. And maybe not just that person but other people reading the discussion. If I can contribute I will. I may not be able to help but I will try by giving my point of view. That's what people are looking for when they are asking for advice. They aren't looking for anyone to bash them, however, just different points of view. Something may come up that they never thought of.

Hi,there! I usually participate in the discussion that I'm interested in.For those people who need suggestions or advice,I'll try my best to help.If I don't have the experience and I don't think I can offer any help, maybe I won't give the response. But I still wish him/her good luck and could find the way to solve the problems.I'll send my best regards anyway.I really love to help cause I find I feel so happy at the same time that I help others:) It just gives me a wonderful feeling. Thanks for the discussion and have a nice day^_^

Yup! But not online. I really love to help people when they are in need. I think I was just touched in helping other in needs. It is because when I was still in my high school days up to now, that I really also needed others help especially when it comes to money and mostly I am a stranger to them. So, I in turn, also help other people especially strangers because of what they did for me.

Yes I do, its one of the main reasons I stick on mylot. If it wasn't for my other political and social views, everyone would know me for helping people instead. There are plenty of times I lend experience, insight, wisdom, even just a note or sign that someone did read the discussion and someone does care. I've been seeing some help threads getting no responses. Granted there are thousands of threads and they keep getting shuffled around, but still, I just had to mention and note that some people on mylot ask for help and end up going without. It does make my heart a bit heavy knowing this. Still, I'll press on. I'll help when I find the discussions, and if I've got something that can help.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it feels like we can say too much or say not enough. We wonder if we say the wrong thing that it might make what the person is thinking worse or not answer correctly. I know I've started a few replies and then not finished them. And yes all we can hope for is that someone else has the words to say what we feel we cannot.

Yes, I often fall across that experience. I knew the guy was sincere, and indeed need help, but I have not ability to help him or her. I wanted to write something, but usually had to give up half of the write back because my response really had no any help for him or her. So I had to leave it and hoped other people who could offer useful help.

We like to help those who need help. We are human beings and we should be kind-hearted. Just be charatible to others.
