Ok here's what happened...My son's preschool made gingerbread men today but a bunch of them jumped right out of the oven and ran away. They are hoping that anyone across the country (and world) who spots them would be kind enough to send a post card to the preschool to let them know of the whereabouts of their gingerbread men. they will be collecting the postcards as part of a school project about maps.
If any of you would be kind enough to "spot" a gingerbread man it would be very appreciated. The postcard can be as simple as "I saw a Gingerbread man in ______" If you want to add a funny story about what the Gingerbread man was doing that would be good too.
Here's the address for anyone willing to do this for these children:
Bright Beginnings Preschool
PO Box 9
LeRaysville, Pa 18829
If you want to drop a line here as a response I'll take them in also! Thanks!

I think that would be great! They are all 4 and 5 years olds so I'm sure they'd enjoy something silly. Thanks xboxboy!

I was driving home from work last night on Kingery Highway and am sure that I saw one of those little cookie fellas darting across the road and onto an abandoned golf cart. He looked warm enough though. He was wearing a bright blue sweater and hot pink earmuffs. I wonder who he borrowed them from.

I saw a Gingerbread Man in Essex, UK and it waved and smiled as it vanished into my Ruby's mouth.
She was very pleased to catch him and here she is resting after the chase.

Those gingerbread guys sure are a helpful bunch! Eight of them helped shovel my driveway here in Thornhill, Ontario! We had about three feet of snow in the driveway and those little guys just kept on shovelling away!!! Tell the kids thanks so much for their gingerbread men made life a little easier for snowbound Granny Siggi....

I love the idea of the gingerbread man, I'll be keeping a look out, and might even get some pictures. And maybe if I catch up with him he can take a little side trip to Reading with my s/o. I'll also alert my daughter, ya never know, he might show up in Texas at this time of year.
I got to meet Flat Stanley, he traveled with my s/o to Texas when he came down there before I moved up here. He also got to get his picture taken in the cockpit of the airplane, Flat Stanley that is, not my s/o lol

Oh that's so funny! From the looks of it these little buggers are fast travelers lol so I wouldn't be surprised if one did show up in Texas!

How funny. My son's Kindergarten class lost their gingerbread men, too, lol. But they just put wanted posters up all over the school and sang a song during announcements about it. They turned up at the end of the week. The whole school thought it was cute.

oh this is such a cute and fun project... can you please tell your son that i spotted one running across the street in Melbourne, Australia when my hubby is driving to send me to my workplace??? he is so naughty... fortunately, he is not being hit by my car and manage to get across the road safely just in time... i and my hubby got the shock of our lives and have to stop for a while to catch our breath before we can continue our journey... hope all the gingerbread will return to the classroom safely... :-) merry christmas...

I am so glad you and your hubby have recovered! That must have been quite a shock. I hope that little cookie learns his lesson and remembers to look both ways before running across a street again! Thanks so much for sharing a story for this project. The kids all think it's really fun.

This is an awesome project!
Just wanted to let you know that I spotted one here in Southern Indiana headed into someone's home to get warm I imagine, since it is a bit cold here today!
Hope all of them return back to the classroom safe and sound!

I've been seeing them in magazines, getting covered with white outline frosting or even chocolate outline frosting so they have eyes to see with, noses to smell with, and a mouth to eat more gingerbread dough with. They are even getting shoes so they can run from place to place so much better.
When they get all set, they're going to find some gingerbread women to hang out with. They're just "suiting up" right now. They're planning on going to the movies with the Women. I heard them say something about Alvin and the Chipmonks. Take care, what a neat idea and a fun topic!

Oh my goodness! I just caught one of those little gingerbread men climbing my Christmas tree! The little rascle knocked some of the ornaments off, now they are scattered all over my floor!

I'm in Australia so you can tell the kids that one jumped on a plane & made his way to Mackay in Queensland. That's a great idea doing this for preschoolers :)

I spotted a gingerbread man in Montreal, Canada! He jumped right out at me onto my shoulder. He was so rude, he dropped his crumbs all over my shirt!
