My husband and I haven't bowled in about 4 years. Last weekend one of the twins' boyfriends suggested that we go bowling Sunday morning. He told us of the early Sunday morning special where games are only $.99, so we decided that we would all go. Turned out that the other twin and her boyfriend didn't show up but the four of us had a blast. My husband and I were both rusty and only hit or went over a score of 100 once. hahaa Oh well, it was good exercise (did I mention I was sore???) and lots of fun. We well be planning on doing this at least once a month with the kids.
Do you go bowling on a regular basis?

My kids are 20 and do not live at home so that was a treat doing something outside the house with them and their current boyfriends. It also gives us more opportunity to know the boyfriends. Visiting at the house is always hard the the boys I think. This way they are relaxed and we all have a good time. I think it has been very helpful to the overall relationships. We also took them to the comedy club a couple of weekends ago and they loved it. In fact, that is how we got started going bowling with the kids. One of the boyfriends suggested we all go bowling the next day. So it has started up a new hobby and we are getting to know these boys a lot better.

I bowled once already with my best friend. I enjoyed the game although I was a loser then. Given a chance I want to play it again. I want to learn how to do it properly.

I haven't went bowling in a really long time. My mother in law is actually on a bowling league and she does really good. I don't think I like it enough or am good enough to be on a bowling league. LOL

We have not bowled in years. 99 cent games are a great deal. I work every Sunday so that wouldn't work for me. I used to bowl alot when I was a kid. I was never good at it,but it was fun.

I have never went bowling in my life. Few weeks ago my boyfriend and I went to the bowling alley and were watching people bowl. It was some championship or something like that and they were bowling pretty fast. I liked it and I would really like to try it one day.

I haven't been bowling in years, I miss it. My hubby and I used to be on a Ma & Pa league. It was so much fun, we had to drop out after a few years because he had injured his shoulder. I was never any good, but it is alot of fun. I would like to find someone to go bowling with, its not fun to go by yourself.

I only go bowling about once a year. It is really fun for the first 20 minutes then my talent wears off and fatigue sets in, then the sucking a*s starts. By the end of the game I'm too pissed to want to play til next year lol.

I don't, but it would be great fun. How low do the bowling balls go in weight? I am not supposed to lift anything over 5 pounds although I have to because, uh, welcome to life doctor, that is impossible to not lift something over than 5 pounds, lol. I'm sure my doctor meant well. Anyway, years ago our church had a bowling league, every Wednesday night after church. Some of my fondest memories of my early teens were socializing with friends, bowling gutter balls, and eating way too greasy nachos!

Me personally? No. Two of my boys are in a bumper league every Saturday and I'm there to watch and s/o is on an men's league during the week. His league (or him depending on how you look at it) is way too competitive so I don't see how it could be any fun but I have a blast watching the little ones. It's not something that has ever interested me though.
And BTW...my almost 5 year old has bowled over 100 twice this year and has come close a lot... ha ha! *giggles*

We bought balls and shoes years ago when we started going on a regular basis. When my kids were babies (esp. when there was just 1) we went often. We used to take the playpen for her. Then the twins came along and that kind of put a damper on doing a lot of things! You should go try your hand at it again!

We use to go bowling we even still have the balls. With my dizzy spells and balance problems I do not think I can handle bowling now. I do love to watch bowling on TV.

No we do not go regularly, as we do not like the Bowling Alley in our town. Hubby used to be on leagues back east, and up north, I barely can get the ball down the lane. When we do go it is often with my brother and his wife. Last time we also went with friends of theirs that we have met before. It was a lot of fun and good exercise. Three of us are like me, average to below average. That is my brother, myself, and the wife of the other couple. Then there is my hubby who made money on leagues and also worked in a bowling alley at one time, my sister in law, who is fiercely competitive, and the hubby of the couple, who also worked at a bowling alley, and played on leagues, etc. We have so many laughs and such a good time. Some of them bowl turkeys, some of us ARE turkeys.
