What was the last book you read? What was it about? What did you like about it? What did you hate about it? What kind was it (romance, fiction, non-fiction, etc.)? The last book I read was a romance novel. I don't usually like romance novels I guess cause I have never really read and didn't own any but this lady gave me a whole bunch of them but anyways this one is Called Captive of my Desires by Johanna Lindsey. This was a good story!! You should read it if you ever get the chance.

The last book I read was "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth. The premise is that Charles Lindberg wins the 1940 presidential, on the promise to keep the US out of WW II. He makes deals with Hitler to keep the US neutral (and in reality, Lindberg was an Nazi sympathizer and isolationist). The Jewish community is blamed for wanting to get the US involved in the war, as well as other problems, and persecution escalates..
I liked it as it described a plausible scenario in which fascism might occur in this country. It's also well written, I think, and quite a compelling story.

The last book i read was Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. it is the true story about your journey from depression, to wonderful food, learning to find God in herself, and then love. it is a laugh out loud, thought provoking, deep feeling book. i loved every page of it

The last book I read was Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan. It is a fantasy book, the fourth book in the Wheel of Time series. It was really great! I love Jordan's writing style and have really enjoyed all of the books I have read by him! I would definitely recommend his books!

I have about 50 pages left in The Devil Who Tamed Her by Johanna Lindsey. She's one of my favourite authors. I'm really loving this book, I love the two main characters, & the circumstances that have brought them together. When you learn why she is the way she is, you really come to understand her.
Captive of my Desire was another really good one of Johanna's, but then I love all the Malory novels. I would definately recommend any of them, especially Gentle Rogue (James' story) which is my personal favourite.

I love to read. I just finished a non-fiction story and it was one of a kind. The title is Marley & Me and the author is John Grogan. On the top of the front cover it says, life and love with the world's worst dog and of course that peaked my interest. I am a dog lover and wondered what kind of story this could be. I picked up the book and sat down in my recliner to read it and finished it in one sitting. That is how interesting this book is. Both John and Jenny had grown up with dogs. So of course the thing to do after they got married was look for a dog. The dog is a Labrador retriever. This is a neurotic dog and no matter what they do nothing works. As the years roll along they dog proof the house and that only works somewhat. The things this dog does will have you wondering why they don't just get rid of the dog. It is not as simple as that. They grew to love this neurotic pet. The one thing that shines throughout the book is the utter devotion to his family. It will have you laughing, crying and scarating your head why in the world would a person want this kind of dog for a pet and when you close the book at the end of the story you know why. Love unconditional is what Marley is all about. I highly recommend this story.
