Do you go shopping alone? Who is your favorite shopping companion?

Sometimes when I'm in for a serious shopping, I would prefer to go alone because I do not want another person to get tired roaming around the mall for hours. Plus, I could have more control of my time and I could go back from one stall to another. However, there are also times that I like being with my close friend or mom. So what's your shopping style? Are you like me or do you prefer to be with someone so that you could get feedback from them?

Yes, I like shopping ALONE.
Actually I like shopping with anybody except ladies. Shopping with ladies is an absolute torture for guys. They are the one to pay, to carry all the heavy shopped items, ones to be blamed for any type of wrong thing.
So, for me, shopping alone is a much better experience than with a lady!

I always prefer to go shopping with someone. I am not really a "shop alone" type of person. I always have more fun when I have someone else to talk to. My favorite people to shop with are my husband, my sister, my children's stepmom (weird I know) and my mom, in that order. My husband never rushes me and will go to any store that interests me so it is never a problem.
My mom is the only one that rushes sometimes, but I don't shop with her all that often. My dad and my brother in law are terrible to shop with. They rush! I almost never go to the store with them.
My grandma on the other hand can spend so much time that I actually get bored sometimes and that is hard for me to do while shopping!

For starters I am not much of a shopping person, I lack the patience LOL But when I have no choice and really need to do some shopping I am the kind that likes to shop alone. If there is someone that has to go with me I would prefer it to be my daughter, but I really prefer to go alone.

While there are times I enjoy shopping with my daughter or with some of my friends I must admit most of the times I prefer going alone. When I go with someone else, no matter who it is, we're rarely ready to leave or move on to another store at the same time. With my back and joint problems it gets really hard to stand around waiting for someone else when I'm not really interested in shopping for anything else. When I'm involved in looking for something or making up my mind what to buy I'm not so bad, my mind isn't on my pain, you know what I mean? And most people I know take a LOT longer shopping than I do! I'm pretty much a "hurry up and leave" type of shopper.

My daughter is my best shopping companion. Its a real fun to shop with her. She collects all her stuff like chocolates, crispies, toys, stickers etc by her choice and fills the shopping trolley. Once she is done she starts crying to go home. Really I love her very much.

I prefer to go shopping alone because I really don't enjoy shopping, even though as a woman I am supposed to like to shop. I hate shopping, it's just another unpleasant chore to me, and when I am alone I can get more done in a faster amount of time, and then I can just get home sooner.

Id rather shop by myself because i dont want seing my companion's face frowning or hearing them whining.I understand them though that is why i dont want them to suffer because of me.but my favorite companion in shopping is my cousin we're almost the same when it comes to shopping and gives me good advise when picking things to buy.

All the reasons that you've mentioned for shopping alone, goes the same for me. Although one thing that I may lose control of when I shop is, is picking the unnecessary things to buy. I think that I may be needing it in the future, but more often than not, I've been experiencing a lot of 'shouldn't have's' when it comes to buying something that I think will be helpful or will be needed in the future. Emergency food, is okay but other items, I would need someone to be with me, and the best person whom I'd want to shop with will be my sister. She'd put a good stop on the things that I place on the cash register counter when it comes to paying time, especially when it's not needed. (^_^)

When I am shopping for myslef i like doing it by myself...but also with my husband sometimes. He is my bestfriend and he doesn't hide anything...if it makes me look fat or is the wrong color is is just plain ugly, he will tell me. I love his honesty. I like going shopping by myself when i am shopping for my kids, that way i can go where i want to go and not where everyone else wants to go. The only other person I enjoy shopping with is my 7 year old daughter. She saves her money up and we go on a shopping spree she tells me where we are going and thats it. We have an ice cream at the mall and its her money she is using so i don't have to spend any...I usually do tho.

I am the same way. I need to do my serious shopping alone. When I try to do this with others, they can be very impatient and I understand how they feel, because I get the same way.
When I am just going shopping for the fun of it, then I like to have a friend along. Although, I have had friends that don't seem to mind waiting forever with me. That is what I call patience.

I shop alone, get rebates on everything I buy, don't drive, and contribute to poor children around the world all at the same time.
There is a woman who started a shopping club that is free to join. You get your own custom shopping mall, buy on line, and get all of what I mentioned above without having to fill out any mail in rebate forms. All proceeds for your participation go to poor kids. Sound good? IT IS!
See the My Power Mall banner on my profile. Listen to the video - this woman is truly someone who is making a difference in the world. This really works and it's totally free like myLot. I hope you consider it.
The other option is to fire up your car, add to the greenhouse gases that are destroying our world, fight traffic and lines, etc.
Hmmm.

I like shopping at the mall alone. I have ceberal palsy so i walk slower, and it does take me longer to try on clothes. I have dragged the boy a few times to the mall with me but he thinks "i look good in anything." so while i love him. i dont really listen to his fashion feedback. On the other hand i love having somebody with me at the gocery store. I hate rolling the cart, and like getting feedback on meal ideas.
