Do you have a birthmark? Do ppl notice it right away? Is it one that several ppl in your family also have?
I was almost 3 months old before my Mom and Grandma found mine. I have one brown eyelash and one blonde eyelash. You can't tell unless you are really looking or if my eyes are closed then you can see them quite clearly. The blonde one is very pale and the brown is a very dark brown. My Grandma noticed it when she was holding me and I was sleeping. :) I think it goes hand in hand with my hair b/c my hair is just about all shades of brown to blonde...alot of ppl think it's colored but it really is the natural color. As far as I know no one else in our family has this...at least none that I've ever heard about.
My younger Brother has a spot about 1/2" around on the right side of his head where no hair will grow...it's just a little pink spot...almost looks like a scab but he's had it since birth and my Mom says that another relative had the same exact mark in the same exact spot.
So, what about you?

well with gray hair being premature on my mothers side and my fathers side my birth mark is a patch of gray hair in the middle of my head.
you cant see it if im wearing a pony tail, or any hair do with my hair going to the back,
the only time you see my gray is when i wear my hair is when i wear my hair down and parted in the middle.
ha so i can hide my birthmark, but i dont really want to. i have grown to like it at almost 25 years old (feb 7th.)

All three of my children were born with a born mark at the back of there heads. But as they got older and the hair really started to grow in you can't see it. I have a mole thingy on my right eye that I have had since forever. When I was a kid I thought it was so cool cause Madonna had a mole thing and so did I. But it has gotten a bit bigger and as I age it doesn't look cute anymore. My son got an Eyeclops (magnifies things 200x) for Christmas and when we put it on the mole it looks like an alien third eye. VERY GROSS

I have a brown spot in my eye in the coloured part, i dont think a lot of people notice it, but some people that i've met have said something about it. I like it and i've had it since birth. My daughter has a birthmark on her wrist that she's had since birth, and it has been growing with her. My nan says that my mom had a similar one on her leg when she was born but it went away. It's not those red ones though, its a browny one. It doesnt' look like it will go away to me, but i guess you never know.

I have two, but one isn't noticeable unless you really try hard. Its a discoloration above my ankle and it looks like an aerial view of a formula 1 racecar.
The one that gets noticed is a blond spot on the back of my head. Other family members (only males) have it. The funny thing is when their hair starts to turn grey, that part will still be blond.

I too have one eye with blonde eyelashes and one with brown eyelashes. I was very blonde as a child and as I grew older my hair darkened except for a long blonde (almost white) streak down the side of my hair. I am very self-conscious about my eyes and will never leave the house w/o mascara!!

I have a birthmark on the top of my foot. It's like a mixture of pink and purple. i have never known anybody with one. and the weird thing about it is that it changes to purple and pink when ever im either cold or warm. I always get a compliment of thats a cool bruise. I have another on the same foot but its on my side. its a circle with blue pink and purple colors. when i was little you could see a cross in the middle of it. I always thought my birthmarks were weird

My sister was born with a "strawberry" mark on her head, but the doctors did something to fade it - since I was only 4 I don't remember what it was. I have lots of moles & stuff, I had a pink mark on the back of my leg that started growing when I was in 4th grade that had to be removed. I remember being scared, but it really hurt less than the raised spot did.

I have the worst birthmark ever. It is right inbetween my eyes. I have a red mark there. It gets more red when I become upset or embarrassed! I hate it. I also have a red mark on the back of my neck, but you can't see it because of the lenght of my hair.
Thinking about your eyelashes, my son has one blond streak in his brown hair. It didn't appear until he was about 8. It is really weird.

I have several birthmarks. My brother, my son and I share the same marks on our wrist and top of our arms. Then my other son and myself have the same big one one our bellies. Then my other son and myself have a small one on our backs. I haven't found my daughters yet, but I have one near a private part, maybe that's where her's is, I don't know. Interesting discussion!

I have a white spot about 2 cms big on the inside of my left leg. It's actually fading so you can't really notice it unless I tell you about it.

I have a birth mark in the middle of my neck, sometimes I call it a beauty spot, sometimes I call it a birth mark and sometimes I call it a mole. It's very small (probably about 2mm in diameter) and most people probably wouldn't even notice that it's there. I know it's there and I do remember as a youngster some people (most elderly relatives) said things like it means I have a good singing voice (boy, were they SO wrong) and someone even once said it meant I'd be hanged, erm good job it's banned in the UK eh?! I'm a good girl, I'm pretty sure I'd never do anything to get me hanged even when I am in the baddest of moods!

I have what some call a small mole and others call a birthmark on my left forearm bout 4" up from my wrist. I've had it since birth and it's never grown so I'm thinking it's a birthmark as well. I have no clue if others in my birth family have the same mark being I'm adopted.

Mine is weird, no one will ever see it, and its a miracle that I found it. I have a birthmark between my second and third toes on my left foot. I just happened to be cleaning between them and there it was. Weird.
My sisters share a birthmark, although no one else in the family has it. They both have a birthmark on their right hip. Just a big brown dot. In the exact same place. I don't know where they get it from, We all share a mother, and no one else on our mother's side of the family has one right there except them.

My birthmark is located on my right knee. It is a strawberry mark. When I get cold it turns purple. In the summer time when I have shorts or a dress on people will ask me whats wrong with my knee. Sometimes it is the same people that ask, they forget that I have already told them, but I don't forget that I told them. LOL

It sounds like your brother has a strawberry birth mark on his head. My brother has one too. I have a birthmark on the side of my head just behind my ear, and my eldest son has one in the very same place. :-)

I have a couple of "strawberry" birthmarks on my arms and legs, but the neat thing I have is a bald spot on the side of my head that I think is actually a birthmark. It's roughly the size of a quarter and my hair is so thick that we didn't notice it until I was in grade school, but the doctor looked at it and said that most likely it is a birthmark and hair has never grown there.

I never had a birthmark, believe it or not. I do not know why I never did? My family never talked about me having a birthmark.

how interesting I would have never thought of eyelashes being a birth mark.
my husband has a round patch at the back of his head where the hair is white, about the size of a quarter.... the rest of his hair is dark brown. I think though that he had a scar in that area and it effected the hair color somehow.
I am told that I have/had no birthmarks... my aunt once told me it meant that I was flawless... lol, I let her believe it.

In our family, it is a mole on the right cheek, 1 and a half inches, under the right eye!
I have it, my mother has it, her mother had it, and my great grandmother had it, and also my grandmothers brother had it also!
People around town, always recognize us as being related because of this mole!
