So its getting close to the end of the month which of course means its the crunch time for reaching payout....This month I'm intentionally NOT going to reach payout and I'm actually considering upping my payout amount to $25 rather than $10 I think since I want to save the money up....Do any of you do that? Purposely not reach payout for some reason OR do you have your payout amount set higher than the $10 minimum?

Thats a really good track record. What would you say that your secret has been? I have been here for a few weeks and I just hit up over a $1 the other day. I can't imagine having made $10 in the first month, that's really impressive. Do you have a lot of referrals?

Hey, I have been here think 3-4 weeks I am up to $5 mark. I have not had any referrals. The tip is to post lots and make discussions. Think you get paid more for the more you write.

I've always just left mine at $10. I'd rather have the money safe in my paypal account, since often I've been on sites that just folded one day with no warning... I'd rather not risk losing the money.
I've never not made payout though. I already have enough for this month, and this month I really need the money, so I'm glad I'm getting it, even if it's just a little.

Let's be fair, Raven! MyLot IS a solid payment site (unlike some). I have always trusted their system. It was well thought out and set up in the first place and I have NEVER encountered a problem with their payments or accounting - nor ever heard of any (and you can be sure that here would be the first place people would shout!)
The only mutterings I have heard have been from people who hadn't read the comprehensive rules and guidelines properly and felt that they had been abused.

It might work for you. but I haven been trying to make $10.00 for a couple of months. I would say three months, maybe because I don't be on here all day I don't have time to be on here all day for pennies, I did request 20.00 when we first started, but I had to require less because it to to lomg to get $25.00 and now it os taking to long to get 10.00

I am likely not going to make payout, this time around. Mine is set for $25.00 and likely will reach it next month. Hoping to reach payout every 2 months. That's allotta posting, lol! Just became serious about posting though about a week ago and have put in over 100 posts since then, so have no doubt I can do it. You just gotta have personal goals and try to stick to them. If I don't get around to posting much on one day, I try to make yup for it the next.

I decided to up my payment to $25. In Canada we are not allowed to download the money from Paypal until we get $20 besides upping the payment on myLot gives me greater incentive to write more and to not write long comments (a habit that I have a hard time trying to break.) Now I doubt if I can make that in a couple of days, but I will definitely keep trying.

REALLY?! when did they start doing that?? I'm positive I've transfered less than $20 from my Paypal to my bank in the past..

I wasn't aware of this either, I might have to take a closer look at paypal and see what it says. I've never transferred money from my paypal to my bank account yet, just transferred it in. But that is something that I am going to be wanting to do more now. I hope I don't need to wait until I have $20. What is it to Paypal, they make money no matter how much we transfer?

i can never reach the $10 minimum payout in a month... in the past, it takes me every 2 months to achieve that... ever since mylot change the earnings policy, it is even harder for me to reach payout... i think this is my third month now that i haven't been able to reach my payout... but i don't really care as i treat the money from here as a bonus and i only want to enjoy my time here... :-)

If I upped mine, I'd never reach payout. I'm not making my payout this month either but I did cash out last month, so I'm happy with that. I think a lot is because the payment has dropped here. I just don't have the time to waste in being here 24/7 to reach payout.

No I never do that but then again I do not have a problems saving my money. Much as I like myLot I do not really trust any website as so many over them just fold up and disappear overnight with every one's earnings. That being the case I would rather get my money and save it up myself.

BTW I forgot to add that I let my money sit in my Pay-Pal account and it earns interest there. Not very much (5%) but it at least earns whereas leaving it in myLot does not

I never make it to payout every month. On average I'd have to say it takes me anywhere from 3-4 months to reach payout. When I first signed up last February I had the payout set to a higher amount (first $25, then $50, I believe), but it took too long to try and reach my first payout, and I wanted to know if mylot really paid. Now that I know that they pay I still have it set at the minimum payout ($10.00) as I wouldn't want to risk losing more if mylot were to ever close down. If I knew for a fact Mylot would never close I would probably set it back to a higher payout amount as it would help me to save the money I earn here, instead of spend it. LOL

I am not going to be anywhere close to making payout this month. I am only at $5.30 for the month. I have thought about setting my payout higher, but really I can use the money as soon as I can get it. When I have more money and it is not as necessary for my to have it right away I might change it.

My minimum is set at $10 I only need around 20 cents to make it wiL think I will take the money this time as I really need it right now. I just got paid from moratraffic and pinecone research so I can add all those earnings together and transfer them from paypal to my bank account.

It’s always been $10 ever since I joined mylot and it stayed as that until now. Anyway if it’s deposited to moneybookers or paypal, it’ll stay there until you want to withdraw it right. So I take $10. from my last payout, I still actually didn’t get it from my money bookers account for no reasons why.

I had mine set to 25, but then i asked a similar question in a discussion of my own, and most people have their set to ten because it takes a long time to get to ten bucks.. and they are worried that the site will go down before they reach a higher amount. I thought this was good reasoning, so i lowered it back down to ten, however i've put it higher then 10 one month, and then put it at ten the next, that seems to work out well, cause you get a higher payout one month, and if you keep posting posting posting, then you get higher ten ten the next month as well, cause whatever you have on the first of the money sneaks over to the next month!

I keep mine at the $10 minimum because I feel that I could be doing something with that money instead of letting it sit with Mylot. Even if I just leave it in paypal, at least its gaining me a little interest. If you have hot hands, meaning you have to spend money once you get it in your hands, then its a good idea to up your payout to save the money. But if you are disciplined enough to leave things alone, then get your money out and into something that will get you at least a small return.

Here is the notice where they first started paying interest on account balances:
Interest on PayPal balances
Notice Date: November 30, 2005
Effective Date: January 19, 2006
PayPal currently does not earn interest on U.S. Dollar balances in your PayPal account. PayPal does earn interest on balances in other currencies. As an international payments provider, PayPal is standardizing its cash management process to be consistent across all geographies and currencies. Therefore, effective January 19, 2006, PayPal will have the option to earn interest on U.S. Dollar balances (other than balances in the PayPal Money Market Fund). This change will not affect the manner or timing in which PayPal processes your payments. PayPal users in the U.S. can have the option of earning a return on balances held in their PayPal accounts through participation in the PayPal Money Market Fund.
And the User Agreement further states:
5.3 Money Market Fund. You will not receive any earnings on the funds that PayPal handles for you unless you enroll in the Money Market Fund. If you enroll in the Money Market Fund, PayPals subsidiary, PayPal Asset Management Inc., will act as your agent to use any U.S. Dollar Balance in your Account on a daily basis to purchase shares in the Money Market Fund. In addition, all Balance funded payments that you make will be funded by redeeming your shares in the Money Market Fund. For more information on the Money Market Fund, please review the prospectus.
So you can earn a return on your paypal balance.

Hi Princess I just read your post. I have been here for about4 weeks and I am up to $5.00. Cannot understand how you have not made the $10 mark yet in a year. Maybe you need to reply to more posts and write more discussions. Last night I spent about 2 hours replying and posting and I earnt about 25cents. I thought that was quite good. I think you also earn more if you write longer answers and discussions. Good luck, with increasing your earnings you deserve more then $10 for being on here for almost a year.
