Do you prefer to read in the place with music or silent place?

yeah I agree with you, I'd rather read in a silent place than to read with a music. well it also depends, if the book that I am reading is serious for me, then that's my way, if its just a magazine or other entertainment stuff- i can listen to music at the same time.

I can read in a very crowded place, so long as nobody is talking to me. I can also read in a silent place, but music bothers me.

Like you,i prefers to read in silent place as i can get along with what im reading(concentrate)..especially novels.If with music,its quite fine for me but the music must be sentimental,not those hard metal music,rock music that even without reading i dislike to hear it!

Hi there! I prefer reading somewhere really quiet but if I can't be anywhere with complete silence, I am not really that sensitive with noise so I can read anywhere. Even when my husband is watching a basketball game on tv. That is only if I have a choice.

Well all depends. whe i was in highschool. we would have music playing in the background loud and it would be heavy metal, i wasnt into that type of music so it never bothers me enough to be distracted by it and did my work fine, Now if i have a type of music i love and know a bunch of. its impossible for me to listen to music and get anything done, because when a song comes on im ganna wanna sit there and think about the music and sing alng.lol so no i would rather read,study in a silent place that way i can fully pay attention to it.

oh.. Silent places of course. Because if people around me are talking, i´ve just focus on them and always forget the book!! C´mon people, go talk somewhere else!!! lol

If I get engrossed in a book, I do not mind any place for reading. If there is a TV noise, Radio noise, people's noise at home, I can still carry on reading. But normally I prefer to be alone, so the best time is 10 p.m. to 12 midnight. I also have my favourite chair, a table lamp, fan, a cup of coffee -- all these are accompaniying parties to the reading session.

I am able to read just about anywhere if it is a book for pleasure. If I am trying to learn something, I must be in a quiet place. I really love to read. When I was younger my dad would knock on my door at 2 in the morning and tell me to go to bed. I would always beg to finish my chapter first. I am finding it hard to find the time to read now that I am older, I am finding it more difficult to find time for myself to read.

I always prefer to read in a calm condition. its not that i never listen to music when i am reading,. But I do so rarely. generally i do not listen to music when I am reading something important. if I am reading something for leisure I may switch to music.

I prefer reading where its nice and quiet so I can concentrate. I can't concentrate too well when there is music around or lots of noise. I can't get into the book.

I prefer reading in a silent place, but I an read just about anywhere if I really wanted to. I think that you absorb what you are reading better when it is quieter.

I have to read with as much silence as possible. My hubby can read with the TV on right in front of him. If I am in another room (like my library in my house) and the tv is on in the room on the other side of the wall, that is ok. But, I can't be reading in the same room with a TV or music on. My hubby also likes to read while listening to classical music. I just can't concentrate.

It depends on what I'm reading. If it's a novel then I can read anywhere but would prefer a quiet place if I had the choice. If I'm studying then it's got to be total silence so that I can concentrate.

so i still in my room to read my books,during dawn the time when everyone is sleeping.i dont have a choice so i end up reading in a rat6h onice.when i read and listen some music in the bed,that i wanna to do this.

it depends on the the thing that i read, if its an important matter i would prefer to read it in a silent place so i can fully absorb what's being said. i still remember when i was in college i often read my books or any lecture at midnight or during dawn because this is the time where everyone is sleeping and i can fully concentrate to what I'm reading. i never like a noisy place, in school i seldom go to cafeteria or canteen because of too much noise. i prefer going to the library or at the campus park. i wonder how other students understand what they're reading when there's too much noise surrounding them.

for me, it really doesnt matter when or where i read...i can pretty much read anywhere especially if what i am reading is interesting.

As much as possible I would like to read in a place that's really silent and peaceful. However, there are times when I don't really have a choice so I end up reading in a rather noisy environment. There are times when I read with some music in the background. Well, at least soft and mellow music would do.

Me I like studying with the T.V. on and the music blaring for some reason it helps .. I have to always have background noise. LOL!!!!

I could really read when music is playing. I can also read in crowded places. I was able to read even in moving buses and trains.

i like reading, but somehow, i like to read with a soft music in the background, Not the loud ones! :)
