I did try to watch it. But I was so tired, I fell a sleep after the song act from that lady who sang the song in the recent animated and action movie... the one about the Princess and the Prince who came to the real world from the animated world.
The song was so nice and soothing. I enjoyed it. Then came the boring awards. Before the next act could come on, I was in lah lah land already. :(

yep. It is a good 4-5 hours long.
It makes me wonder, how the heck those actors, actresses, writers, designers, directors... etc can actually sit through the whole event in their tight tuxedos?
I cannot even stand to sit through a one hour prize presentation ceremony in the office, let alone 4-5 hours of it!

I didn't watch at all. I got the recap online on monday to see if there was anything good and I didn't care about it. I am like you and didn't see many of the movies that were up for wins. And the ones that I did see were either not there or I figured didn't deserve a win. LOL I heard it was the worst ratings, which is great. Make good movies and I may watch!

I missed most of it because I had to run to the grocery store. I do enjoy watching it though. It's fun to see who wins and I love seeing the fashions all the stars choose to wear.

I agree, there weren't many great movies this year. Although they were very compelling, there weren't any extremely excellent movies.
I saw many decent films that were worthwhile, but none of them really made me feel like they were unique items.

I taped it but I have only watched a little bit so far. I wasn't much interested in the films this year, but I always enjoy the awards show, seeing all of the dresses and there's a part of me that really loves to see the joy of people winning. I heard that this Oscar telecast may be the lowest rated in history and I'm not surprised. I don't think that it was very well promoted. I almost forgot it was coming on... and I LOVE the academy awards.
The Oscar film I'm most interested in seeing that I haven't seen yet is Juno. It looks very good. I'm not sure if I'll ever see any of the others.

Hello dear youless. I have not been able to watch TV for a long time ever since I got back to school as I am too busy for that. I used to watch TV or online movies a lot, but not now. Yeah, I have to say that you will be only interested in it when you are familiar with the candidates. Thanks and good night.

I watched it also and I usually love watching all the award shows but like you I had never heard of half the movies!!! There were very few that i had seen or even heard of. I thought it was a little boring, and to be honest I didn't like the songs they kept doing from Ella Enchanted but I have not seen that movie yet so maybe i would like the movie.
