My husband works everyday. And I always cook or prepare him something everyday. But I don't want to limit him with just different kind of sandwiches, Im running out of something different from day to day, that I have look online everytime. Can you suggest lunch box food for husbands? maybe something that doesn't need a lot of prep and cooking time. Thanks!

Since there are already so many good ideas here, I just wanted to say what a great lady you are for fixing him his lunch. I hope he appreciates it. My poor hubby makes his own lunch and never complains. Although I did cook him dinner tonight.

Does he have access to a microwave? Maybe chili, soups, pasta (leftover lasagna?) or burritos would work. I used to take burritos or nachos to work a lot. I would wrap everything in the burrito and just heat it up in the microwave. If I was doing nachos, I would mix all the toppings and put them in one bag and then chips in another (so they wouldn't get soggy). At lunch I'd put it together and toss in the microwave for about a minute.

highly spice dry cooked meatballs make great lunchbox fillers, make them small so they can just be poped into the mouth, maybe send a little tub of salsa with them if he would enjoy that.

There is a canteen beside my husband’s office. The foods sold there are quite delicious especially his favorite shrimp curry noodles. It is not healthy to take it often so I will prepare some home make food in his lunch box. There are mainly vegetables, egg and fish together with plain rice.

My husband works abroad. So it will be hard for me to prepare him food. But when he is on vacation, I make it sure that our food is what he likes. I cook for him sometimes.

Luckily, I don't prepare lunch for my husband to take to work. He prefers to buy from their canteen. It's not that he doesn't like my cooking, but it's less the hassle in bringing lunch boxes to and from work. As for my suggestion on what food to send off to your husband, it actually depends on what your husband prefers to eat. Here, we prefer to eat rice over just sandwiches for lunch. It's just gives us a more "filling" feeling... you know what I mean. How about baked potatoes? Just bake them in the microwave and top off with cheese and bacon bits. It's easy to prepare and it'll give your husband enough energy to last throughout the day. :)

I dont make lunch for my husband...I did some time ago but he'd often forget to take it so I just stopped doin it..Some suggestions though would be sandwiches, leftovers (assuming he has a way to heat it up at work), cold plates, salads etc etc..

I have the same problem you do, tring to figure out what to fix my husband to take for lunch. Sometimes if we have leftovers from supper he will just take that. In this cold weather I make him alot of different homemade soup, I even freeze some in small size bowls where he can just pull one out for lunch. I take seizures so on my bad days he will usually take a micorwave sandwich or he will fix his on lunch. When I drove I use to take him his lunch just to say hi. My husband loves pizza and the other day I called and had a pizza delivered to him at lunch time, Yes he brought his sandwich home. Pizza shops around here takes credit/debit cards. Good luck.
