A very simple question, do you like cooking? Or you do because you are obliged?

I grew up as the middle child in my family so it was normally my father, my oldest sister or my mom and sometimes even my youngest sister cook, I guess because nobody thought I cared much for cooking. Well, when I finally shacked up with my boyfriend I finally got to try it out--problem was, how?? It was fun trying but nothing ever turned out even remotely spectacular but my boyfriend liked that I gave it the effort. WELL, when we had kids and begun a family it became an OBLIGATION and that was tough. Luckily I learned real fast that yes I did have the ability to cook but just different kinds of foods, I like more vegetarian type foods. I learned to cook for my boyfriend (our kids father, were not married yet) because he is a 'meat-head' and I was just always intimidated by steak. i can say that now I know how to make a killer stew/pot-roast I got the idea from Emerill's cookbook. And I know how to make a steak just right--its called cooking it off of HIGH, something I did with all my foods before I learned to cook.
Still, it can feel like a job cooking everyday for the kids and mostly leftovers their father never gets to because he works at a restaurant but I try.
I have found that I really like cooking ethnic foods, I learned SO much from his mother, who is Turkish and he started teaching foods that are Turkish that he likes now.
COOKING: Love-Hate relationship?

Yea, I've learned to make some really good home fries or aka fried potatoes because cooking everyday is so repetitive and boring, Mrs. Dash comes in handy.

I enjoy cooking but I really dont love it. What I really love to do is baking. I rather bake than cook dishes because its easier and fun to do

your wife will be happy! However, if you not cook never can not improve... you will see that with the time you get excellent results

You would be surprised how many ways you can cook up some regular Ramen noodles, once I made some like Singapore Noodles with Shrimp, its sooo good. You can get shrimp flavor to add even more taste but do not over do the salt since those packets are almost 100% salt.

I don't mind cooking it is not my favorite thing in the world to do because I am not that good of a cook. I have to cook because I have a family to feed. I do like cooking simple things like spaghetti or lasagne.

Hello!
I loved cooking... But now, I need to cook almost every day, because I have a family, I have a kid - so at this time of my life I have this cooking stuff...
I just don`t like to be in the kitchen, because it`s too much for me.
