you and your best friend to celebrate your birth day as a dinner at your house, along with your special someone.
so your best friend shows up first. and you two have a little chat and catching up, until...
at the strike of midnight, the lights went out and the phone rang. your best friend tried to find a candle stick while you answer the phone. It was your special someone saying that he/she is in the hospital with you best friend who got on an accident. . . and is now dead. . .
you look at your best fiend and he/she stares at you holding the candle and said: "I will miss you forever happy birthday. . ."
would you cry?
or would you scream?

I would be very sad but I think that I would be very afraid and probably run out of the house screaming.

That is kind of confusing to try to figure out what you meant. I am assuming you are seeing your friend as a ghost? I dont know what I would do. I would probably freak out and then cry and be really sad. I suppose how I would react would depend on who the ghost was and how they appeared or something.

To be honest I would not know how I would react i.e. the emotion outburst kind. But, I would be shocked and saddened by this sudden loss. Yes, I would also be looking out for my best friend's family and love ones to see if I could be of any assistance in this time of grief and loss. I just believe and would like to be more practical - I am just not that kind to let emotions get the better of me. After experience some loss along my life I just arrive that I would be better off playing the supportive and comforting role.
Yes, I admit that I find a better solace doing this - for I have come to a stage where I can cry without dropping a tear anymore.

Cry or scream, well i may never know but one thing is for sure. I will freak out. Scary it is to think but I will be more touched knowing the effort of coming to your birthday to greet you eventhough he has parted from life already. The memory of it will never be forgotten.

I would probaly freeze in fright and stare at my best friend. Then I would cry out of sadness that my best friend is gone. I wouldn't be sad for to long because at least we got the chance to say goodbye and I would know that my friend is out there somewhere, just not on this earth...and I would feel blessed to have the opportunity to say goodbye and see my friend for the last time.

If this is a true story I would certainly cry my heart out, get on my knees and thank the lord for the "special" birthday gift.

I don't know for how long, but I would cry for what seems forever. Can't lose a best friend like that. I'd much rather be bedside at the hospital with my best friend. But I would always remember their special effort to tell me in person "Happy Birthday".
