Okay this is about unresolved discussions. This link is my very first discussion that did not recieve any responses.
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1421245.aspx
I have never had a discussion not get any responses the same day yet alone 5 days later. I read about my friends stating they go to zero response discussions to reply yet mine is buried way down the list. It bugs me kind of knowing I have about 350 friends or more and not one responded to this discussion. Do you get frustrated seeing a discussion of yours not recieving attention and responses?

Not at all, GrandPa. But if I know that I did put all my effort into it, then I'd be frustrated would definitely wonder why it wasn't responded.
I've been frustrated before, on the discussions I made when I was still new here. So I decided to start less discussions, carefully choose topics and make sure that people would notice it so it could generate responses..

I guess the title was one that I had not thought through and it didn't sound interesting to most on my list. HAHAHA! Thanks also.

Congrats, Grandpa Bob!!! at least they have 'ambushed' your camp now.
Actually, your are lucky and fortunate, Grandpa Bob. You know why? Only 5 days, then your rant came out with good result.
Something happened to me, previously, I got only one response after my discussion had been posted for a long period till now. In fact there were many friends in my friends list.
Nowadays, I never bother it at all and had deleted almost 30 of them so far.

Well thanks to all that have so far responded here and there as well including you. I do not know if I'd ask to have one of mine deleted along these lines though. I'd whine and maybe get some responses just like this time. HAHAHA! Thanks once again also. Greatly appreciated.

I am sorry Grandpa Bob. I usually try to answer your discussions as your one of my favorite people on here. I do know how you feel and it is disturbing to have that many friends and no one replying. I have very few people reply to mine...I guess it's because I am boring! hahaha! I am sure it was not a slight on anyone's part. honestly I didn't even see your discussion on my list of discussions that my friends have started. I try to pay close attention, but since I started working I haven't had as much time.

I can not recall having one last 5 days without a response. I found this out while I was awarding best responses. Too funny in a sense. The reson you may have not sen it there is because those are listed by the days and times of responses top them. So having no responses it was at the bottom of the list. A long way down the list. HAHA!! Thanks also.

Well, Some others beat me to responding to your discussion.
I know how ya feel. I probably have one or two that didn't get any responses. And when I do start discussions, not many respond to them.
I think sometimes, I am best off just responding to discussions for the most part like I usually do!

It was wierd as I usually get a few responses right off after posting a discussion as well. Oh well got a few on it now. Thanks also. I also am one that mostly does responding. Once a week I will start a few discussions all in one day.

I have a couple of discussions with no responses. I don't let it bother me though. Evidently they weren't interested in it, so I have moved on. However, I only have 32 friends, so that makes a big difference between mine and yours. Sorry for your frustration.

No problem. The only reason it kind of frustrated me
was after 14 months here this is my first with no response.
Or now I should say it "was". Thanks.

I do but I haven't been here that long. I think some of my discussions have too small an interest group. It does seem that the majority of discussions are in the same interests day after day. It would be nice if members spread the discussions out into other interests.

Your right as you know my Jimmy Stewart post couldn't get a response. Its in a category that most of the board couldn't be bothered to look. I'm positive it was a great topic. Thanks Foxfire

I am used to getting friends to respond. But it wasn't all that
big of a deal. Thanks again.

I have had a couple of discussions at least, with no responses. I figured that was because the discussion was too specific, or boring. I dont get bothered by it.
I know I had a very specific discussion about how to improve swimming, & obviously people couldn't respond to that.
Why do you say that the above discussion didn't receive any responses, because I saw at least eight?

Hi grandpa. Not really. I was about on my 2nd month of mylotting before I posted my first discussion. Albeit I can understand how one can feel if their discussion went on unnoticed.
I stopped counting how many of my friends are active and how many are not. I guess you can say that, in a way, I am not expecting anyone to jump right away to my discussion and respond.
I'll go over to your discussion right this minute. :)

I've been meaning to clear out my friends list as well of
inactive members. But I always get side tracked. A long
and tedious task to say the least. Thanks also to you friend.

Hi Grandpa Bob,
You always do a really good job with your discussions, so it is surprising. I'll check it out, as soon as I finish here. For me, sometimes I can think of a topic(s), and other times, 'the well runs dry.' I've had some that have done 'fairly' well, and others not so much. Quite awhile back, I had one that received no responses, and 'our good friend Transdisc,' helped me out. I think his was the only response, and he had a 'vested interest' in it, as he'd suggested the topic to me. I really try to get to as many as I can, but I've been quite sporadic here, of late. I really haven't been feeling up to doing as much, but am going to try to pick up speed, after March Break. Take care.:)
Now, can I PLEASE have just one 'chocolate brownie?' hehehe

Well thank you very much for such kind words. I usually do creative titles for my discussions and I think the one I am referring to here did not have that title is why. Trans is great huh?

In the beginning, I got frustrated when no one responded to my discussions. But, eventually, I got used to it. I have plenty of discussions without responses! I feel good when people respond to my discussions! That means a lot of my discussions are not that interesting. So maybe your discussions are always interesting that you always get responses from them.

It feels real good to see responses to our discussions. Then when I saw this one of mine my heart dropped thinking, Am I that boring now or what? HAHAHA! Thanks also.

I don't get frustrated. I figure it must not have raised much interest or maybe it was too much out of other's knowledge. Like starting a discussion about going to a play and other events...I just figured it didn't pique anyone's interest.

I sure do as I have one that did not receive any responses and that made me sad.I thought it was a good discussion but evidently nobody else did. and I have several with only four or five but I think that was because I was really the new kid on th block and nobody really knew me yet.since then my discussions have been getting more responses. I always try to find yours as they are always so interesting to me.

Wow!! One of your discussions not getting any replies? Wow!! This is different. I know I have been going thru spurts when it comes to being on here, so I know I might have missed it. But I am sure since you posted this, there will be a lot of us here who will go check it out.
I know I have quite a few discussions I started a long time ago, I got little responses from, but most of mine anymore I usually get enough to keep me satisfied. But I think it goes in spurts.

I see that they got busy and fixed the unresponded discussion for you. I pass up a lot of your casino posts because I do not have anything in common to base a response on in those instances. I wish I had a lot of freebies for something.

LOL - I had one when I first started that I didn't get any responses to, and I thought it was a good discussion, I finally did about the same as you and asked people to respond so I could resolve it.
I do get very frustrated when I don't get responses but have learned everyone is busy and just have to wait - eventually someone will pick it up again.
I actually tend when I'm bored or not getting notifications to go through my friend's discussions and see what ones I can find that have fewer than 10 responses and will 'pull' them out of the dungons :)

Hello grandpa Bob:) Just resurfaced and checked your other discussion. Sad to say, I know nothing about casinos and stuff, a total ignorant;) It's always frustrating when one expects a good turnout and gets the opposite. I've experienced that so many times... I think I've developed an immunity to feeling frustrated. I havent posted anything for a long time, no frustrations for now. Im just concentrating on answering all yours posts (if I have any idea about it..hehe ) and other friends' too. Hmmmm speaking of posts I might just come up with one. Hope I wont get frustrated with no replies! See you around grandpa Bob and smile away those frustrations :))))))
