I eat oranges or bananas every day because of my blood pressure. But I also like to eat whole grains, fresh or frozen vegetables, other fruits, and beans or meat. Plus milk products. I think the meat is where I have the least healthy items because we buy cheap meat. I was done my hot flashes and they started again. Cheap meat may have hormones in it and may be why I have the hot flashes again. The milk products I buy are usually organic and aren't supposed to have that in it, but I do use powered milk sometimes. What foods that are good for your health do you eat?

Thanks, I've reduced my meat intake because I can't afford it, but I'm hoping to be able to buy organic soon. Thanks and like your response.

Well, first I get light headed, then I start hurting all over. Then I start getting tunnel vision. With in an hour of eating corn I can barely walk without support, I'm so weak and dizzy. If I don't get my allergy shot I can't immagine what would happen next.

Wow! Are you ever allergic to corn. My body doesn't even process it, it goes out the same way it came in. So I couldn't imagine it hurting somebody. But it certainly does hurt you. You must have to tell people because corn is in a lot of stuff. Take care and stay safe.

Yes I do eat those healthy food but not always. I love bread in whole grain. I love eating fish because of the protein, chicken, and veggies. I am not a fruit lover, so I seldom eat any fruits. For milk products, I don't really eat that much, but from time to time, I would drink some milk with added calcium.

Dairy (milk) products are relatively new to most Asian diets. So if you had said that you didn't eat anything with dairy, I would have just asked how you get your calcium.
My husband doesn't like fruit either. I love it. It's like desert to me, so sweet and so juicy. Thanks for responding. Hope the job is going well.

Like you I eat whole grains,(I haven't eaten bleach bread in a long time..lol), and fruits and vegetables..I do better during the warmer months when I can get fresh and organic vegetables from my garden because the cost of organic in store is too expensive for us. I eat very little meat and any pork I eat is slim to none. (There is this pizza place that is really good, unfortunately, it is the sausage that gives it the flavor)

Organic veggies from the garden, wonderful! Bleach bread, I like that comment.
I want to grow more veggies this year. I usually only grow greens and chives. But have to have more kinds this year. My husband would never go for little bit of meat or hardly any pork, trust me! Take care and thanks.

I eat whatever my mother in law buys in the supermarket since, she's basically in charge for grocery shopping. She's very conscious of healthy foods to eat specially for her 2 grandsons, my kids. So fruits are always on the list, breads that are wholegrain, purple fruits, vegetables, meat without fats. She also tries different leafy vegetables to include in our recipe. Specially now that her cholesterol went up we try to make our meal as healthy as possible.

Sounds excellent, I wish people would buy that kind of stuff for me, then I wouldn't have to go shopping, esp. in the weather we've been having. Thanks.

well, i take oats, brown bread or a fruit in the morning , some good cooked vegetarian meal for lunch with lots of greens and again kind of similar things at the end of the day, junk food is out of my list, and so are aerated drinks, i take herbal tea too ..
along with food i think its the temperament and the mentality of a person that has to be right for the food to give some nourishment..
its no point blaming the food with the boiling temper ! :)

Good until you speak of my temper. Hot flashes are when a person suddenly sweats like crazy due to hormone fluxuations/fluctuations (spelling?). I'm going through menopause and during the day, that is called hot flashes, at night, it is called night sweats. I think the cheap meats make for more sweating since I was done all this menopause related sudden sweating after eating hormone free and expensive meats. Then I started eating cheap meat and it started up all over again.

For while I have been trying to eat very healthy, but the last 6 months I have redoubled my efforts. I drink so much water, and I usually have grapes, a grapefruit, or an orange in my fridge. I use soy milk unless what I'm cooking demands something different. And my meat is always the very lean hamburger meat, when I eat meat. It's not that I don't want to, but my appetite has been shying away from meat recently.

I went through a period of time when I didn't like red meat. I am trying to get motivated to watch my calories so I don't eat double what I'm supposed to and I hope this discussion helps me get there soon. Thanks.

I try to eat fresh fruits and frozen or fresh vegetables. I also try to buy organic when I can. Our yogurt is organic for instance and we buy organic milk as well.
We have started to try and incorporate whole grain pastas into our diet. The first couple that we tried we didn't like at all. I think we finally found some that are edible though!

Yes, some things are way more edible than others! Know the feeling. But eating healthier does take some trial and error and try again. Thanks.

I take eating as something that bothers a lot and brings little fun. When meal time come, I just choose some usual food to feed up myself, so that I won't be starved.

You don't enjoy any kinds of food? That's too bad, I'm the opposite extreme, that's most of my enjoyment! But to each their own way. Thanks and take care.

Yes, i do, in fact, I eat fruits and vegetables everyday. Rice is also healthy food because aside from the carbohydrates, it has a lot of fiber in it. I also include fish and chicken. I do not eat much of the red meat and as much as possible, I eat less of fried foods.

In the body builder world, they call that the weekly cheat day. As long as it doesn't get too far out of hand, it's fine. Sounds like you eat really, really healthy. Thanks and take care.
