No I don't let my child drink coffee. My kid is high energy without it. I'd hate to see what adding caffine would be like. Besides, it really isn't healthy for kids.Aside from that, I drink it myself. So I am sure when my daughter is older(4 right now) she and I will go to Starbucks together.

I didn't at first give my children coffee because my dad always told me it stunted my growth (rolls eyes) and told me that's why I am short. Later on after I had my first child she would go with Grandma to her Great Great Grandma's house for breakfast while I was at work. Well one day I was off and went with them. They put the coffee straight in her bottle with milk and I about freaked out !!!!!! Anyhow, my oldest was only 8 weeks old when she got her first taste of coffee.
The other children haven't had coffee until they were at least 2. I would give them a sip out of my coffee cup because they always thought mommy's drink was better than theirs. My 6 year old doesn't like the taste and turns her nose up every time I brew a pot.

My daughter is 11, my husband let my daughter drink coffee, not all the time. Just every blue moon, she just drinks a little bit, and then throws it out.

My mother let me start drinking coffee when I was about 13 and didn't sensor how much I drake at all. My oldest son is 8 so he hasn't even asked to drink it yet, but when he does I think I will sensor how much of it he drinks and until he is atleast 16 I don't think esspresso will be allowed. However the bottom line is they are your kids and you do whatever feels right to you. Every child is different, and needs to be treated as such.

all depends on their age, my 16 yr old twins do, I have no prob w/ that but the 13yr and 6yr old, not yet. this way they have something they think they want and can look forward too, and it lets their bodies develop more, and better.
