I Just Had My First Discussion Deleted!

LOL, I've been a member for just over a week and yesterday they deleted TWO of my discussions (one of them had over 50 responses... no aggro or anything) I wasn't angry, just confused as to why they disappeared. I agree that if admin delete a discussion due to breaking of guidelines etc then they should send a message explaining why to make it easier for us to avoid the problem in the future Having said that, someone who responded to the hot discussion did state that s/he had seen similar topics before and was surprised my topic had lasted 13 hours on Mylot... I assumed they were talking about the number of responses... but perhaps they were talking about admin deleting it.

Oops!!! well i don't have any discussion which got deleted, But whenever my discussion will get deleted i got really upset, and i don't know how you been able to know that your discussion got deleted.,.. Did they send you a notification or you did find it manually...

Actually I am sure atleast any of my discussion must be deleted in this more than 1 yr that i am in mylot. but i really have not seen if any i started got deleted. i try not to start any against the Mylot guidelines.so i am not sure

I have had one or two discussions deleted. The thing that just annoys me about it is the confusion that it leaves you with when you are looking for it. I actually got one of my discussions deleted myself, it was a fine discussion but whatever it was it spoke about basically started a huge war and everyone that took part in it started arguing with each other and I just couldn't be bothered with that.

Congratulations, you are a now a true mylotter. I was very upset but got over it real quick and it has never happened again. It eventually happens to all of us.

I am not sure if an entire discussion has been deleted but, I have seen my number got down one point at a time a couple of times since I started here. I don't really like it because I don't know what got deleted. Maybe that could be something that myLot does. If they delete a discussion or a response, then they should email us or give us an alert as to what it was and maybe why it was deleted.

Well, I have been active in here now over 17 months. I have started a lot of discussions, and had some of them deleted from time to time. It usually never bothers me unless I had a lot of responses to where it affected my $$ earnings on here as well. I feel this site is a learning experiance and you learn as you go. As to how often, as far as I know very little at all. It happens and I move on, and learn from my mistakes. Good Luck and continue to enjoy myLot.

I was really confused and frustrated at the time, when I first experienced a discussion of mine to be deleted. But I didn't took it the WRONG way as I didn't end up whining and complaining on where it did go, instead I looked/searched and even seek advice from other members on how to explain to me why a discussion gets deleted. That prompted me to come across mylot's own profile here, there I saw some additional informations aside from the one's written in the guidelines section and on the TO's. Until then, I do my best to avoid posting and even responding on discussions that I know would get deleted sooner or later..

Hello trickiwoo, I haven't had anything deleted here tho' I wish someone would delete my first couple of threads ever - before I knew what the heck myLot was about!

i dont reallly care if they delete it, but sometimes if theres a money making website included in the post and they deleted it, i would mind it a bit, eventhough its not a referral link.besides the ones they usually delete are those without responses.

Knock on wood, I haven't had anything deleted yet, but I suppose its bound to happen sometime or another and I am prepared for the inevitable. I have had comments within my discussions deleted because of the nature of the comment, i.e., bigotry and things like that.

I've had a few responses deleted, but no discussions. I don't know, MyLot has a couple wierd rules other than that everything is cool...except I like all the labor too much.

i have a discussions that was deleted but i am requesting the admin to do so because i found out that i was against the TOS of mylot. so far all of my discussion are not deleted anymore because i see to it that it will violating the TOS. maybe your discussions violate some rules that is why is was deleted.

nup I've joined mylot since a couple of weeks but I didn't had any of my discussion got deleted.

i don't think i had ever have my discussions deleted as i seldom post here and the topic that i post are usually general ones... if i got one of my disucssion deleted, i won't be upset... but i will find out the reason why and ask the admin myself...

I had a discussion deleted and I felt bad about it being deleted. Why? Well, 1st of it didn't have any bad words , no referral links. No fighting even. I just asked for people to add me as a friend so I can give them the link of the yuwie account I had...yet It got deleted :(

I felt offended by it. Does anyone else feel offended verses angry? There probably is no need to feel that way but that was how I felt. I tend to feel more dissapointed when I see a loss of money earned for no apparent reason. The reason problem is that a discussion I was in got deleted. That is a bummer because I normally put effort into my comments as I am sure most mylotter's do so then it feels like a waste of time. All in all I am happy with myLot.

that is unusual stuff. there must have been some mistake. i have also started a few discussions but none got deleted even if it was inactive for months. moreover one of my discussions never came up with a reply. even that still exists.
