How Many would like Mylot to have a recipe section?

I wish they could add the section up top along beside the friends and messages and also when a new recipe is added have it tell you one has been added like it does with messages. I have a discussion with alot of great recipes in it from alot of mylot posters and I would just love to see them all together in one place and see them with just a push of a button instead of scattered allover. I am sorry to hear that, I know you were looking forward to having that kitten. It will be rare to find another kitten with 6 toes. I don't know why people can be so mean and change their minds after promising the kitten to you..Maybe you will find another kitten, I am sure it won't be the same though. Just think though since he is moving maybe you will get to meet a new friend that will be moving in..

I am so so day, remember how I was supposed to get a cat with six toes, well the man next door claims that the cats were stolen, yeah right, he just changed his mind and gave it to somebody else I am sure of it.

I will admit that I do have a recipe swap discussion and that I have posted some recipes in others dicussions not alot but I have. I really didn't see much wrong in it because I thought it a way to get and give new recipes to each other. I was wanting a section so I would be able to try some of the recipes others have posted but they are so many and I would be jumping from post to post just trying to find them to try and that as I stated above is time consuming which alot of don't have alot of extra time to be searching mylot for recipes from post to post and page by page. I barely have time to post to the formum as much as I would like. I wouldn't want to be judged differnetly or my opinion thought of as not as important just because I did happen to post some recipe. I never did think of the piracy of recipes though which I should have and that would possibly keep mylot on thier toes keeping up with them. I figure alot of recipes are just variations of old ones with new twist,ingredients added to make them special your own but I guess I wouldn't have many recipes to post that where actually my own and not just added or tooken away from, But still I think it would be great. I have alot of recipes and I am sure others do as well and it would be great ot see them all in their own section even if they didn't get points awarded.Have a great night theprogramer.

I would like to add some of my deceased granmothers and a few of my moms I think she would like that I shared them with others. She should get on her and post her own though but now she hasn't gotten internet so she can't. Maybe they can make a section especially for recipes and show how many we have entered. I love recipe swapping just as much as the next person. I love hearing about new ideas abou an old recipe to give it flair or taste some of the old ones do seem a little bland sometimes but that was possibly due to the times and there era and now days we have all kinds of new interesting things to add to recipes. Here to hoping we get that section. Cheers!

oh yes, why not? I don't get tired of looking through recipes. Even though some may sound the same or even look, there are bound to be some ingredients that adds to the flavor. I am all for it and willing to share some of my moms recipe's as well.

Hey blueangel51 and welcome to mylot. That is what I was talking about having a section for so others could view the recipes we put on. I can understand them not wanting Mylot covered in recipes though and for awhile there is was,but Mylot has alot of women members and that is just second nature to us swapping recipes. I have a swaping recipe discussion already started along time ago and alot have posted their recipes in their and some still are. So if you want to post your recipe in that discussion I wouldn't mind a bit and maybe others will be able to see if and comment on it. Well hope we do get that section though.

That is a great example of why we need it as a section that way those who don't want to be bothered or see them doesn't have to but those who are interested can. I also have gotten recipes from different sites and had questions but only sometimes found a comment page but most times nobody answers pr if they do it way to late. Hello blueangel51 and welcome to mylot. I am wanting a special section for that in Mylot. That way those who make recipe discussions doesn't have to worry about them being deleted because they will be allowed in their own section. I have heard that some of the recipe discussions have been deleted recently. I have a slew of favorite recipes that I have wrote down in tablets so that I don't have go to several different cookbooks just to find my favorites that I make. I have a few binders left that my husband got after he gave a bunch out to the kids all around in the holler we live in. Ibet those are pretty. I have a aunt who makes things like that for newlyweds and house warming gifts. Well, hope you have a nice time here at Mylot and that you make lots of new friends and get great tips,ideas, and information that is needed, or just to swap stories.

Hey winterose, Hope today is treating you well. Well that is the good part htey can add their favorites and maybe things they make that they have added their own touches to. I got rid of alot of cookbooks because they might have been only a few in the whole book that I would even consider trying so I just wrote those down and gave the book away. I agree it would be great. I am surprised as well since we have so many recipe and cookbook discussions here at Mylot. It would help in clearing it up some and keeping the discussions page free of them. I had a Swap recipe discussion and it did great it is a natural thing to swap recipes and household tips especially if you get alot of women gathered in one spot long enough..So I am hoping. I have one that has almost 80 responses to it, more if you include the ones to left comments in others responses. I have had it over a year now I think and luckily they haven't deleted it as of yet. It love getting and giving recipes. I use them alot to spice up my cooking because I love that every one has their own way of doing things sometiimes and putting new twist on old recipes to make them even better. I'd be in heaven. Maybe if we make enough noise about it it might happen look at all the other great changes that has happened to mylot . So heres hoping.. have a great night Stephcjh.

Hey goldeneagle thanks for your response I really appreciate it. I am hoping we will get a recipe section be less hassle then deleting a bunch of discussions that we make with the recipes. And I think alot would enjoy it, I know I would especially if I didn't have to jump from discussion to discussion to find all of them. to time consuming to look for them all we'd get less time to post tht is for sure, but then again if we had the section then we be in there browsing looking at all the good recipes and not get much posting done.

I love trying new things and to be able to follow a recipe from other countries that they enjoy would be great. I find that in alot of the recipe books they change alot of the ingredients maybe because it isn't sold here or whatever I don't know.
