I found out two days ago that my husband will be leaving Iraq in the middle of next month and i'm so excited i just about can't stand it. I have waited so long to see him again and it's finally gonna happen around the end of next month. The only thing that sucks about it is that he will be able to come home for two days and then will have to go back to mississippi until having to go to Utah for two weeks for his e6 schooling. then he will have to go back to mississippi until june 2, but at least me and the kids will get to come and spend a few days with him then until time for him to come home for good. it's still gonna be a few more goodbyes, but at least i know he'll be state side and that i will be able to see him some before he gets to come home for good. i'll keep everyone posted as to exactly when. God bless

Oh that is wonderful! I would imagine having him in the same country at least would be a huge sense of relief. And that he will be close enough for you to visit more- that will a huge blessing, I'm sure.

Hello there, first of all I would like to congratulate you on the return of your beloved husband, though it's just for a short time. It is always nice whenever I read about happy returns from mylot and other web sites. So when will you be seeing your husband next after his short 2 weeks? I pray for the well-being of you and your family.

Oh, that is really good news for Easter, my friend. I can imagine your excitement at having your hubby come home from Iraq. I don't expect you care too much that he will be away for a while, as long as he's out of danger, and you will see him for a couple of days before he goes, as well as visiting him in Mississippi. The kids must be excited too... bless them. Brightest Blessings for a happy welcome home for your hubby. x

Oh I am so pleased and excited for you too as I know you have been really missing him lately. I bet you can't wait but you really have something to look forward to now even if the visit back home is broken like you say he'll be in your country rather than away which must feel good to know too. What a lovely Easter Gift for you to have found out. God bless. Ellie :D

I don't know you personally, but I'm excited for you! My brother was in Iraq for over a year, and it's such a relief to have him back in the states. He's in Hawaii now, but I greatly prefer having him serve in Hawaii to having him serve in Iraq. I wish the best to you and your family- from one military family to another. Happy wishes!

I join you in this excitement my dear-its time to give thanks to God for the continued divine protection he has got in a place dangerous as Iraq-we are going to pray all the way-I am only imagining the atmosphere in you house, with Dad, Mom and the kids all seated by the dinning table enjoying Dinner-nothing can be sweeter than that!

That is such good news and what a great time to find out! I had a dear friend who served in Iraq and I remember how thrilling it was to know that he was coming home and so I can imagine what it must be like for it to be your husband. He has been through things that you will never understand. Just remember to love him and always cherish the moments that you have with him.

i definitely will and yes, i know. he's been deployed before while we were married and the things he told me, or that he wanted to tell me, were very gruesome and disturbing. he didn't talk much about it, but i would have to hold him through his nightmares once he was home. it was scary, but now i know what to expect when he comes home this time

Wonderful news for you Sgtswife. Its not a permanent comeback, but its even earlier than expected. Just as I said that the days will be one at a time and June will be here before you know it... something like this occurs that brings the goal-line even closer.

I'm excited for you! I would never be able to let my boyfriend go to Iraq. I worry about him just driving home from work everyday! I'm quite paranoid, and always afraid something bad will happen. It's great that he will be coming home soon, I'm really happy for you.

Glad to hear it, my friend! I was in the Marine Corps for more than 21 years and my (ex)husband did many deployments during that time. My son did three tours in Iraq as well. I know all about separations and reunions. May God be with all of our troops, wherever they are. Enjoy!

Amen to that! I pray everyday that God watches over and puts His hands around each and everyone of our men that are over there fighting. reunions area blast and seperations suck, but only 21 days left. thanks again and God bless
