I watched a television show the other day.It told that smoking can be a way to keep body thin. I really wonder if it is true .If it really is, why not give it a try ? But at second thought , i wonder how many negative effects it will bring to me . And if one day I want to quit, will the weight that I had lost come back again or even worse? Anyway,I am really excited about this news- no needs to go on a diet
Are you a smoker? Give me some tips!

The only thing i know about smoking is that it is harmful to your health. Ok i have seen people who used to smoke and were very thin and when they quit smoking they became really fat. But there are also people who smoke and they are extra fat. Please don't take a risk like that. U'd rather enroll yourself to a gym and work out from dawn to dusk instead of smoking.

Oh, if anyone could succeed in getting thinner by exercising, it will never be me. I just can't keep doing it. But if smoking really does harm to my body, I really don't want to risk my life.
Anyway, thanks for your kind words, I really find some healthy way to lose weight.

ive been smoking for over 15yrs now. and i can tell you that smoking does NOT make you thinner!
nicotine may VERY SLIGHTLY, TEMPORARILY suppress the appetite, however the longer you smoke the less you will probably feel that effect.
most long time smokers who try to quit, gain weight because of the habit of "doing something with your hand and mouth" you end up snacking on something to try and fill the habit of putting the cig to your mouth. it is a surprisingly strong habit to overcome.
if you dont currently smoke and are thinking of starting for the weight loss, THEN DONT! it WILL NOT make any difference that is big enough to be truly a BENEFIT, when compared to the negative effects.

I really hear people saying that it's difficult to quit smoking. And it also gives side effects to people, but I wonder what if i make it in a limited number, say one cig a day, then it won't give me as much harm ,right?

smoking is something you should avoid if you can help it-it has no gains except the many health dagers associated with it!

No smoking does not make people slim but one of the side effects of nocotene addiction is the supression of appitite, so smokers tend to be slimmer than those who dont smoke. I quit smoking June last year and so far have put on 3 and a half stone in weight, but the health benefits of stopping far outstrip the weight gain problem
blessed be

Glad to hear that you have stopped smoking completely !
You just won over the addictive substance.I kind of respect your strong will.
Plus you just take yourself as an example to illustrate how tabacoo brings side effects to people. There is nothing that can better prevent me from smoking that!
Really, thanks, dear friend! Sound health!

Well partly that's true as when you smoke, some says it interferes with your senses and appetite. So when you smoke and ur appetite is suppressed, naturally you can get thinner. But I have a friend who is fat that no matter how much she smokes, she dont get thinner. I also heard that it could make you fat once you stop smoking as it will want you to crave and some smokers eat candy in replacement of their cravings so as a result, it makes them gain weight. Aside from the many unhealthy benefits of smoking, once you learn to smoke, for some its difficult to quit. So for your sake, I just recommend you to just diet and do exercise to get thinner and not learn to smoke. Have a nice day dear!

Thanks for your informative and caring advice!
I just come to understand the harm smoking will bring to me and also the difficulty I have to go through in order to quit it.I just think I am not a strong-willed person and maybe i could never quit it.

I heard that it does but nicotine is a suppressant so it stops people feeling hungry and therefore smokers may be inclined to eat less. Smoking in itself, I don't believe makes you thin.
I can also tell you that I know many overweight smokers because the rest of their life is unhealthy too. I wouldn't recommend taking up smoking to find out. It will cause more harm than good and, apparently, it leavs fatty deposits on your lungs. I'd rather have my fat on the outside thanks!
