how do you like your EGGS?

This is a question that I had to get used to when I came here in the US. You see, from where I came from it is not usual to eat breakfast out. We do have restaurants or food chains where we can eat breakfast but we get what we get. We were not asked how we like our eggs done.
The first time my then fiance took me out for breakfast I was surprised when the lady asked me... how do you like your eggs? I didn't know how to answer the question because I didn't why I was asked in the first place. So I asked my Sweetest... How do I like my eggs? He smiled and he said to the lady... we like our eggs... over-easy?
What the heck is over-easy? Eventually, I found it out. And everytime we would go out and there would be an egg in the menu I would always say... I want my eggs over-easy. But honestly, I prefer omelet. When I will cook my own egg, I will always make omelet with ham and cheese, or garlic, tomatoes, and onions, or green peppers.
So how do you like your egg?

Hi ruth. I prefer my egg hard boiled *winkz! Everytime I eat an egg, I cant help not to remember my father. Way back home, he always bought a dozens of eggs or he got from his own poultry. At night, after the family had dinner and we were watching movies or TV, he then asked one of us to cook eggs (hard boiled). Those eggs were our midnight snacks. Thats maybe the reason why I always like my egg hard boiled.

I like my eggs to be scrambled... This is my favourite type of egg. Of course, i like every kind of egg no matter how it's done, As long it is an egg i'm eating. LOLZ... If it is omelet, i like it to be cooked with cheese... yummy :)

I like my eggs over-easy, especially with bacon. Omelettes I don't mind, but unlike the way they are supposed to be cooked, I like mine overdone, so that they are brown with no sloppy bits in them. I also like soft boiled eggs, with soldiers(toast cut into fingers) for dipping. Hard boiled I like cold, especially if they are curried. Actually, the only way I couldn't have eggs is raw. Blah!

Omelets are my favorite, too. But, if I am for some reason ordering a meal with eggs, I get them scrambled.

I am really fussy about how I like my eggs and I always like to cook them for myself. I like the yolk runny but warm and I hate any runny white. I tend to cook it at a high heat until the bottom browns slightly and then turn it over for exactly 10 seconds.
mmm I am hungry now - I haven't had breakfast yet!!

My taste for eggs change for day to day, I prefer my eggs either over easy, omelet, or scrambled. My favorite thing is a fried egg on toast with cheese.

Omelet is easy to cook and you don't make a mistake unlike over-easy I can't flip it perfectly.

i learned as a waitress there are a lot of different ways to make eggs
there is "sunny side up" - where the egg is not flipped over, only the white bottom is cooked
over easy - flipped once, inside real runny
over medium - flipped once, inside not do runny
over hard - inside not runny at all
then there is scrambled and like you said omelets...i love omelets :) i think that would be my favorite way...
i also like breafast buritos and egg/bread/cheese casseroles - those are yummy too!

I am from the Philippines. And honestly, they don't ask how you like your eggs there, because we don't usually order eggs in restaurants. We usually have eggs at home and you get what mom made out of it.

I like my eggs poached, lightly salted and with a couple of slices of toast. The absolute perfect way to start the day!
