A friend of my daughter had a baby on Feb.22 this year. She was 6 weeks early. She spent a couple weeks in the hospital. When she was released she was given a clean bill of health. She went to the doctor this week and was doing good. Well today my daughter receives a call this little baby passed away this morning. She was a month and 6 days old. So I'm asking mylotter friends to please say a prayer for this family.
She was a healthy little baby at 7am and gone at 8:30am. She passed from SIDS.

I am SO sorry to hear that. SIDS is such a random and mysterious thing, and I cannot imagine how many questions it leaves in her mind. She probably wrestles with thoughts of could she have prevented it? Were there signs? And of course she couldn't have done anything, she was a good mom. I'm so sorry she has to suffer like this. At this point I doubt it is comforting for her to know her baby is in Heaven, but I hope someday she rests knowing that her baby is in the best possible place. She'll see her little girl again someday, and I pray that Jesus eases her pain. Is she married? I'm hoping she has a husband to lean on right now.

sometimes there are things happening to us that we cant explain. i will pray for your daughter's friend and i will light a candle for the baby. there is a saying here in my country that it is okay if you give birth to a child who is just 7 months conceived but not on the eight month. older people say that if you give birth at the 8th month of conceiving the baby might die. i am not sure if this is true or not.

Hi. Its so sad to hear a mother lose her child more so just after giving birth and not been given the chance to get to know and be with the child long. I know the mother is so devastated for losing her beloved child and my heart pours out to her and her husband. But I know God will bless them with more children. Will pray that God will give them the strength, courage and peace to face the situation they are in. I also pray for healing as I know how broken they are now.
You can also post a prayer request to nuns in Nebraska and they take prayers seriously and are really intercessors. They are called Intercessors of the Lamb. I have a nun friend there and they pray with insight when I want God to tell or lead me on what to do. You can email them at:

That is so sad!!! I know it happens often and there isn't really anything that can be done unless you are watching 24/7 and no one can really do that. Even if you are watching, there is no guarantee that you could prevent it. I'm so sorry for that family.

So sad! I can't imagine the pain the parents experience. I read somewhere that SIDS may be a form of sleep apnea where the brain "forgets" to breathe. Adults usually start breathing again on their own but some infants don't.
The mother must be in shock. God be with them all.

Yes she is in shock. She's not talking to anyone but her mother and husband.
SIDS could be sleep apnea.
Thanks for your prayer and God Bless you.

It was my biggest fear also. I could not sleep for a long period of time when they were infants. Always up to make sure they were still breathing.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Yeah, I don't think I could live after losing a child of mine. I had a miscarriage 2 months into my pregnancy and it was terrible. I could not amagine losing one that I could hold in my arms.
Thanks for your prayers.

Thank you for your prayers. They need them desperately. They are young parents and can have more children, but they can't ever replace this baby.
