Listening to the radio...do you flip stations?

I switch around a lot - mostly because our reception is pretty poor out here - but also because songs I do not wish to listen to , or have the children hear come on and I want to get past them. I usually just listen to my Gibson Brothers CD or some Mozart.

I have all my favorite radio stations programmed into my stereo and this can be controlled using the button on my steering wheel. So I am constantly flipping through them as commercials and songs I don't like come on. Of course, this is when I don't have my iPod with me. I enjoy such an ecletic mix of music that one station will never keep me happy for long.

Yes, I surf stations all the time. I am always checking to see what is on the other stations that I like. I do this when tanning also. On the tanning beds they have a box with 2 different stations programed in. I start with one, then if I don't like a song go to the other, then after that song, go back to see what is on the first one.

I do the same, but to an extreme. I change the radio stations compulsively. If there is a song I don't like I will change it, and most the time I will have to change it again because the radio station I changed it to has a song I don't like on it.

No your not the only one lol when me and my husband go out i do the same thing i change it every time they talk or a song i dont like most the time my husband lisens to his cd which gets me sick because he playes the same song over and over which is now my 1 yr old sons fav song go figure lol

i like it will the radio off but if something has to be on its the radio and normally i'm out in lala land and don't listen to it anyway. now my husband on the other hand is alway flipping through the stations to find a song he likes and it drives me nuts.

Most of the time I listen to the same station when I'm at work. We only get 4 stations in really clear. When I'm in my car its usually the same station unless a song comes on that I dont care much for.. then I change it. I vary between country and today's hit music.

I also like doing it. My friends would say that I am so choosy in terms of what songs to listen. I can't stick to one station. I like doing it. We might not know that the other stations are playing my favorite songs. That would be a good thing for me.

I always flip stations when it starts playing a song I don't like either. and always repeated again and again. LOL. I do have some favorite stations but doesn't mean that I would stick to it when it plays a 'thumb down' song. LOL.

I don't get to listen in the car much anymore because of Tom's hearing. Any outside noise is very distracting to him. Since I don't have the opportunity to listen often, I haven't found a 'favorite' station here yet so yes, I will flip around until I find something that is playing something I'm interested in. There is one good Christian station here, but it has a lot of 'talk' stuff, which I don't always like. I do like a few of the regular syndicated shows, but there is a lot of local stuff on this station that I don't really care for. I want some music!

I flip stations, too. It seems that most or all of the stations go to commercials at the same time, so if I don't find anything worth listening to, I'll just turn it off. There isn't a cd player or anything extra to listen to in the car either.

I flip constantly, same with t.v. I hate commercials and when people talk! If I don't like the song I will go to another station!

Im a flipper!!..i need a certain kind of music for a cretain type of chore..so i move the tuner to suit the tasks!!! I love a good phone in..to listen to other peoples opinions...i like to listen to the golden oldies..i love to listen to the classics...and i quite like the chart music!!! The radio provides good company...intelligent company!!!...i think it is bettter that the tv at times!!!

Yes, I do that too, especially if its a song I don't like. I like to listen to Dr. Laura, Dave Ramsey, and Kidd Kraddick in the morning. Sometimes Kidd Kraddick is a little too racey for me and I'll change the station.
