i was going though the list of found pets again on petfinder.com and came across a lady that found a husky not far from where we were so i emailed her and sent a couple pictures but she emailed us back saying no that it wasn't her. the dog she had had brown eyes and was darker and bigger then ours. i was so upset i knew not to get my hopes up but couldn't help it. i have been told to give up its been 4 months and we've had no luck. would you give up or keep looking?

I'm sorry that it wasn't your dog. I would not give up looking for the dog until your heart is ready to be at peace with it. I had a Pomeranian and it was stolen back in 1998 before we moved here. I cried for days and every Pomeranian I seen that looked like my dog, I would just cry and miss him. We never did find our dog so we bought another one that looks just like the one we had.

i did think of buying another husky but around here you don't find to many. the ones we do find look nothing like her or the person wants at least $1000 for one. she was a silver gray and white with blue eyes which is rare. we have looked up all the pounds around and found a couple but none seem to be as pretty as mine was and are mainly black or red. plus i don't want to get another and then get lucky and get a call saying that they have found her. someday maybe we will get lucky

Oh, I am sorry it wasn't your dog. :( I wouldn't keep actively looking, but I certainly would follow up on possibilities like what you did...and maybe even checking the humane society website. ((hugs))

well you can keep looking but the odds of finding him is getting slimmer and slimmer and time goes on.

I am sorry that you have lost your dog:(
Whoever is telling you to give up, must not have a dog.
We consider our dog part of our family~ I wouldn't stop looking for her if she was lost.
You never know where she might turn up. I wouldn't give up hope.
