how many hours you spend infront of your computer?

Too many! I am seriously becoming addicted. I can definately spend more than 4 hours at a time on my computer. The evenings are my bad time. I can get online at 8:00pm and in the blink of an eye it is 2:00am. I really need to set an alarm clock, say to go off at midnight, so when it goes off I know I need to go to bed.*laugh* I don't really notice my eyes getting tired but my brain does!

I work on a computer for a living so over 8 hours a day. I have a flat-screen monitor so as to reduce the strain on my eyes but there can still be lasting effects of staring at anything for a long time. Thanks Zelo

I spend a lot of hours in front of my computer. I'm a programmer and I spend 8 hour a day in front of it for work. I stand up for some minutes at regular intervals to rest my eyes and to walk a bit.

hey julyteen, i spend almost 4 hours on my computer, but when winter comes i spend about 12hours on my computer by surfing the internet and playing some games, and i like the computer science stuff, i read about programming by my self, so i spend that much of time by reading, after spending a lot of time in it, i feel sleepy and hungry, but i don't still got an eye problem, i think am lucky!!

I don't usually keep track of spending my time using my computer. I have been using it as much as I want to.

I use a computer every workday..I'm clerk, so I use it to make a letter. Sometime, when i spend too long infront in computer, i feel sleepy..It is bad for eye if too close and spent too long infront in computer. It will make you eye vague.

my longest hour to stay in front of computer was about more than 20 hours in a day in my non working day. could you imagine it? but now, i have those bad effect that i am not able to stand long infront of computer. when i feel my eyes little bit hard to see in monitor, i would like to take rest a while cause when i forcing it, it would make my eyes in hurt feeling

Too many my friend! But that is during the winter months, now I spend less because I have joined the gym so spend a lot of time down the gym instead of plonked in front of the computer screen which is not good for me. It does get addictive and you can easily spend hours and hours without realizing it! On average I can spend about 8 hours a day in front of the computer. Too long I know! I have to keep getting up to give my eyes a rest and to stretch my legs.

I spend hours in front of my computer...my eyes dont give me permission to spend that much time on computer but i do it .....

I think that I spend over 4 hours a day on and off on the computer. I'm in mylots and other places too. Checking the news updates and seeing what is going on in the world. There I'm checking email and other things. But most of my time is spent here in my lots on and off during the course of a day. My eyes don't bother me cause I wear glasses. But there are times when I have leaned to close to the monitor cause my vision was bad. That is when I have to put on my glasses. Have a good one.

Yes, I can sit for more than 4 hours at a stretch. If the activity is interesting i do not know strain. I take breaks for water, pees, and tea in between.

yeah, i can and i do it daily about 8-10 hours when its my holiday from college, and about 4-6 hours when i have to goto college i spend in computer...lol Keep posting!!!

Yes, I can stay more than 4 hours in front of my computer since I bought lcd monitor. If I'm still using crt monitor, I won't be able to stay more than 4 hours. As I know, the lcd monitor reduce the radiation to your eyes, so you could stay longer in front of your computer.

I usually stay about 3-4 hours on the computer everyday. Most of the time I go online only after I've accomplished my daily duties. I do think staying too long in front of the monitor could probably harm your eyes.
