How do you save for the rainy days?

Okay, we have known to earn in so many ways. But how many of us just know we have to save for the rainy days? For me, small stuff such as stuffing extra coin in my wallet in my "piggy bank" help when I needed extra cash for an emergency. I also try as much to save 10% of my salary and other savings so when I need them, I have something for spending. So what are the other ways you save for a rainy day?

My husband doesn't like to carry change. So every few days I take all the change from his dresser and put it in a pottery vase we have. Then when I go shopping I always try to take out some of the change and put dollar bills in to replace the change. It doesn't bother me to use change. Then I keep my paypal acct separate and use it for emergency money.

I don't really have any money to save for a rainy day, we save our change here and before the month is over we end up using it to buy milk or bed.

Hello dear gabrielle. It is a must for us to save some earnings for our rainy days. There is a story about how a squirrel saves his nuts for winter when it is so hard to find any more in the cold weather. I think that I must also learn from the squirrel to save some for the rainy days. Well, usually what is needed for me to spend in our daily life is supposed to be spent, but it is a good idea to cut off unnecessary buying, that is, things that will not be used in the house. This way, we are saving some for the future in case we need them for greater use.

Right now, my ability to save is limited. I'm not working a steady job and neither is my boyfriend so we don't really know when money is coming in, or how much there will be. We're really focused on paying off rent and bills and debts so savings is something that has been put on the back burner. At the very least I used to always save my change and put it into savings. Now that is just getting added to the money we have for living expenses as we're scraping small bits of cash together here and there.

sounds interesting topic similar to posted already here but anyway i save little amount to my savings account for future use specially for emergency purposes. i spent almost35% of my earnings to my insurance, life plan and mortuary. indeed, much better if you are always ready rather than nothing.
