myLot vs Spring

It was an absolutely beautiful day here in south/central Ohio and I spent quite a bit of time outside and had a most fabulous time fixing up a flower garden, moving plants and rocks and such. In between bouts of playing in the dirt I came back here to play on myLot. During many of those sessions it was tough to find anything worth talking about and that got me wondering if everyone else had spring fever and was outside playing too. My question is, will myLot survive if we all get spring fever? Will you be here as much or will your myLot time start taking a back seat now that winter seems to have finally decided it's time to move on?

i am not much of the outdoorsy type. and besides, i spend most of my mylot time at work anyway. don't really get on to much when i get home from work. so i guess i will be here about as much as i have always been here

No Spring Fever for me today... it snowed here, in England. There was no chance of getting out in the garden, so I went up to my Son's to have dinner with his family, as I do in the Winter. I had a great day, and came home as tired as if I'd been in the garden after being run ragged by my little granddaughter. I do look forward to Spring, and I will be spending some time outside, but I shall balance it with Mylot, and schedule a certain amount of time in here. Brightest Blessings for a Bright Spring.

We're supposed to have another nice day tomorrow, around 70 degrees, so I'll probably be back out there, finding more projects to work on. By next weekend we're supposed to have another quick snow shower or two - I could do without that!

Yes, make the most of 70 degrees my friend. It's 43 here, and still quite cold. It started sunny and bright but has clouded over again now.

Well, I have yet to have sping weather, we are suppose to have it this weekend. lol I think in between doing a little outside, I will be on mylot. I get up at 7 most of the time, so I can do mylot for 3 hours go out for an hour come back for my program at 11 and fix lunch and then do some other stuff on the computer or clean or what ever needs to be done and then when hubby comes home get ready for dinner and spend a little time outside while he is online playing his poker game

I think most of us will be able to find a good balance with all of our activities.

It was a glorious day today and I was outside getting my vitamin D fix too. But I'm sure there are plenty of rainy days ahead, so Mylot is where I'll be on those days. But closer to summer, it will be hard not to be outside in the garden. Mylot will survive since it is global and not everyone shares the same seasons together. Our extra money will suffer for a few months though. lol But it is an equitable trade in my opinion.

Oh, I would gladly trade some myLot time for good weather! I didn't think we'd ever see spring get here this year, but it appears to have sprung. I'm sure I'll be able to find a good balance. No doubt most people will, after the initial 'fever' has worn off.

I do not think things will change to much for me. I have a very busy life already and always seem to fit some time into Mylot. I think it is because I do most of my response late at nite or very early in the morning. The middle of the day is usually full of , well you know. Life. I think we might see a little less activity, but I am sure there will be a discussion or two to respond too no matter what.

I don't think my activity will change much at all. Maybe some discussions will change for the better, though, if people are in a better mood!

Well, here in Scotland in the UK it's most definitely a long way from Spring - at least weather-wise! It's so very cold! So mylot will be seeing activity from me for a while yet at least!

Will your Spring/Summer last later than ours then, or is it a short season for you?
8 Apr 08
Well, our Spring is supposed to be from March to May but our weather is very unpredictable. This time last year we had glorious weather but over the past few days it's been bitterly cold and we even had snow *brrr*. Actually, my daughter lives in Arizona and we've visited her a couple of times over December/January when it's Arizona springtime and it's totally gorgeous.

still cold here so not a problem yet. it will be once it warms up. last year we had the laptop so i could take that out with me but its not working right now. so this summer i don't think i will ever be here. my kids like it outside to much. raining days maybe.

Well I'm sure it's a welcome trade off for you. I will probably still be able to balance my indoor/outdoor time pretty well.

i wont probably get too much spring fever because i am trying to make money on mylot to use for christmas presents and by the time i get home from work, the last thing i want to do is work in the yard (i have severe arthritis in both knees, so kneeling to work in the garden is impossible for me - so hubby gets that task!)

I'm stiff right now from what I've done the last few days, but it's not arthritis so I know it will work out in another day or two. I love working outside; I'm sorry you can't ...

I am waiting to have my garden done, we are having it done in June and I cannot wait!! We have lived in the house nearly 3 years and so it has been a long time in coming. I have a beautiful tree in the garden I do not know what kind it is but I love it and cannot wait to sit under it if we get a nice summer, so unless I invest in a laptop to take outside with me I might not be spending as much time on here as I have been!!

I will probably be here as much as usual because even with spring I am not easily able to get out a lot as I am handicapped with a bad foot in a brace left foot and myleft shoulder has now bionic parts. I had a bad fall two years ago that totally smashed the bones in my left shoulder so badly Ihad to become a bionic woman. after months of therapy I can stil only lift my left arm about ten inches which is a real handicap to me.

I'm sorry to hear that, Hatley. My husband is partially disabled too, with a bad knee, hip and shoulder. He's limited to how much he can do as well. Me? I'm just packing a few extra pounds that keep me from doing as much as I should.

Good for you. Honestly, I don't feel that it is already spring. I just snowed the other day and the backyard is still covered in snow right now. I can't start any garden much to my desire. I think I will wait till May then I will decide on the garden. But myLot will not surely take a backseat for me because I always wanted to know what's going on here. Maybe just less hours spending time here though because I bet my hubby and I will surely be out of town all weekends gold panning and tourmaline mining soon.

Ooooh, that sounds like fun! I've read about that stuff but have never done it. Do you find it profitable at all? I've still got all my seeds indoors and won't put them out until I'm sure it's safe, but all of the bulbs are up so things are starting to look pretty out there. I've got a few things left to do to the soil before I can put some of the seedlings out anyway, so I'm using these nice days to accomplish all that.

The weather here in the bay area of San Francisco is pretty mild all year so it might only affect my time online a little bit as the weather gets warmer this spring. I have been outside a little more walking my dog and working in my small garden of pots on my balcony of our apartment. I am trying to grow from seeds some vegetables, like tomatos, green peppers, pea pods and squash. I am also growing a few sunflowers and a few other flowers to brighten up the place. They have started growing these past few weeks and getting bigger but I can't wait until they bloom. I hope I get to enjoy some of the vegetables before we move! If not, I told my friend around the corner that she will have lots & lots of vegetable plants to inherit... LoL! So, I guess the thing that is going to affect my time here the most is trying to get ready & packed to move this summer!

I've started flower and vegetable seeds indoors, but I've transplanted some daffodils and such to various places around the yard. A lot of what I've planted will stay in containers, but I'm going to try to put a few things on the side of the house and pray that they'll get enough sun.

It's still mylot for me here at DC because it's drizzling all over and everwhere you go it's damp and damn chilly. So I guess, unless Spring season comes as the real warmer "spring" that is normally the case, mylot will be getting an upperhand between choosing to stay out or sit in my computer.

Looks like another beautiful day here in Ohio, so no doubt I'll be outside today too. I don't think it'll affect my time on myLot too much, though. I will just be trading some time that I spent doing other things.

You are right, I wasn't on late afternoon yesterday because I did a little gardening, playing some badminton, and cleaning up after the dog..But it was fun and I still did some mylot and of course with Spring also comes rain, so I will be on then besides the mornings because even though I am up, it takes me a while to get going.. Some happy mylotting and happy gardening or whatever you enjoy doing outside..

Yes, there will definitely be rainy days where I won't get outside to 'play', so on those days I'll probably alternate myLot with reading or watching TV.

With Spring finally here, things greening up, the weather warm and inviting, and so many things I want to do outdoors. I myself will be spending a lot less time here in myLot, especially on the weekends.

I imagine I will do a little less...but since I am often up late at night I wouldn't be outside then anyway...lol. Nicer weather gives me more peace and quiet inside- the kids are outside more... Of course, with the apparent snow storm headed our way (AGAIN) in a couple days, spring is NOT right around the corner for me, so I have time it seems.

Yea, I heard about that weather you're expecting. I'm so glad it's not us! We're supposed to be 60s-70s all week, nights in the low 40s, but by the weekend it's supposed to be a high of 40 for a day or two with snow flurries, then back to 70s the next day a gain. Nuts, but I'll take it!

I don't really have a schedule, I just leave it on all day and I'm in and out while doing other things. I don't think my myLot time will suffer much.
