This question has been asked time and time again, but I admit it I didn't read the answers and besides there are alot of new users on this site. How did you arrive at your user id? Some of them are so interesting and you can't help but wonder what prompted someone to use the name that they did. Mine is just my first initial and last name. My last name is so different that I don't have to worry about the user id already having been taken. So if you don't mind, I would like to know how and why you decided on the user id that you did.

My answer to that is quite simple. My animal totem is the Raven or Crow, and I found an avatar of a Raven Moon. As you will know, both birds are black and on my avatar, the Raven is on the wing. So, I came up with the name Darkwing.
Brightest Blessings.

How do you find out what your totem animal is? I like the name though and the reasons for it.

Mines a combination of my first and middle name. I guess when I first got on the computer in 1999 I didn't know what to use and came up with that and it stuck ever since.

Ever since I bought my domain "Aussies-Online" in 1999... I have been using the name everywhere I go on the Internet.
But mylot would not let me use it in two words... so I only took the first word and added the year to it.

Just out of curiosity, what do you use your domain for? I wanted to make my own website and worked on it for quite awhile, but then lost interest when I had problems with domains and all of that. I just never understood that aspect of it.

It is a very unique name and I certainly hope you have a girl so that you are able to use it.

187 girlfriend? WOW! Now that is an interesting way to come up with a user id. How did you manage to remember in order to count them all?

My user id comes from my email address. I am a writer and working on several novels; hense I weave dreams in a creative way. LOL I have liked the name and it is encouraging to me, and motivates me that I should be writing, lol. Good topic even if it has been asked before. What nationality is your last name; I am guessing French?

Yes, it is French and if you ever meet anyone with that last name they will be related to me. There is only one family with that name. Good luck with your novels.

I think my user ID is pretty self explanatory really. I was a goth way back in the late 70's and still am, just a lot older :-) My friends all called me the recycled goth and the name stuck.

I didn't know that they had goth back in the 70's. I thought that was a more recent phenomenon. Where have I been?

All of my screen names, user names & email addresses are some variation of "Eden". I owned a pet store many years ago, it's name was "The Garden of Eden". I specialized in reptiles, and thought the name was appropriate, catchy, clever etc. I went bankrupt after just a couple years; but I like the name & use it with whatever I can.

That is an appropriate name for a store such as you had. I remember my Nanna and I used to go to a restaurant for breakfast when she was still alive. It was called the "Garden of Eatin". LOL. I loved that place.

Final Fantasy is such a huge thing for game players, I'm surprised more people haven't wanted to use something like your name.

Do you ever get teased about the name Grasshopper? You know like in David Carradine's Kung Fu shows?

I came across my screenname here on MyLot, and on many other sites, the same way I came up with my icon. It's just who I am. I am half Danish, and I am half Canadlan, therefore I am a Danish-Canadian, or danishcanadian, so as to avoid symbols in a screenname.

I didn't want anything raunchy; I wanted something positive and so that is how i came up with the name. It is basically saying that I will be there for you always. Isn't nice?
