Exercise offers all the obvious benefits, bigger muscles and a healthier heart. It is also a great way to calm our nerves, get your tensions out and really geta good night's sleep.
All forms of exercise help people to lighten up.For me I like yoga, so that's the best thing for me to reduce stress. You don't have to break a major sweat to chill out with yoga.Just 30 minutes of brisk inhale and exhale most or all days of the week can offer a powerful benefit. It's just an opportunity to leave it all behind, and just focus on yourself.
What about you?Do you think excise can reduce your stress ?What's your favorite excise ?

I exercise daily and I think its important to exercise at least weekly.
I exercise daily by going on walks with my dog through out the day. I go on any where from 3-5 walks a day and the shortest my walks are is 20 minutes. I do a 40 minute walk every morning though and i'll go for a jog a a few times a week as well.. and i might do some yoga through out the week.. i also do 150 sit ups about every other day and i do a couple of other work outs.
I have started to lift weights now too and i do that a couple times a week.
I think exercising does help reduce stress. I know when I get pissed off or upset, I find taking a walk really helps me because it gives me that "alone" time to think and vent it out in my head and i don't know.. walking fast just seems to help with my anger and helps me to clam down and by the time i get home. I feel okay again.

I think exercise can help reduce or relieve stress. My favorite exercise is swimming. I also have a treadmill and an exercise bike to use also. I wish I could find more time to swim, ride my bike and walk my treadmill. I love to go for walks in the fall of the year also.

yoga is great and I should be doing the stretching exercises, but I have such a big stomach it prevents me from doing so many of them.
All I do now is walk, it is about all that I can do now.

I did hear somewhere that you need to raise your heartbeat for at least 30 minutes a day to make you more healthy. I'm a bit limited to what exercise I can do at the moment for health reasons - I've recently brought a step machine to help me get a little healthier.

Sometimes when I'm stressed, I just leave the house and go for a nice walk. I walk everyday and I lift small weights to build up strength and muscle and also for therapy to strengthen my back - hopefully the stronger my back gets the less the pinched nerve in my neck will be squeezed according to the doctor.
Walking is great if you don't take your problems with you - just look around you and up at the sky and enjoy the weather.

I personally don't really excersize. I'm always too tired to do so, after working all night long. I guess that I do some excersize when I'm at work, because I have to be on my feet all night, lifting heavy boxes and walking all night long. I also have to do a lot of bending and stretching (sometimes something is low and sometimes it's high, duh, lol.), I don't know. I don't really consider doing my daily tasks at work to be any real exersize, although my body is usually sore afterwards.

Exercise is great for you and an ideal thing to do when you are stressed, depressed or angry. But unfortunately many of us who feel any of that choose NOT to exercise... and instead make things even worse by eating!!! I am guilty for that but trying to correct that.. so I have to force myself up even if its the last thing I want to do. I usually do aerobics, lift weights, sit ups and fast walking. It DOES help a lot... after you do it you feel it but getting yourself motivated enough to do it is the challenge.

I practice yoga and I walk often and far! I like to lift weights but do not get to do it often. I was lifting weights once a month and it was helping strengthen my muscles and keep me strong. Before that, I lifted one to three times a week! I like to swim and also walk/run/jump while in the pool, it is easier on my feet than the solid ground!

I try to go for at least a hour walk each day depending on the weather. i really love step aerobics and if I cant get this gym membership soon am going to go buy a step. I really love Comcast OnDemand and you can get any kind of exercises you want, I actually like Denise Austins routine for kids, it really had me sweating, it just keeps you moving and its so much more fun than the adult stuff, I like using that for a change of pace. Still, I need to lose 50 pounds and my mind is just telling me, 'hey kid, theres no fighting it, you have to jog it off' and just a year and a half ago i was a avid jogger but now Im actually embarassed to get back into it (i want to!!) but the sight of my boobs bobbing everywhere while cars pass by scares the living daylights out of me, and the jiggling but, its crazy because these things never bothered me when i was younger, i lost 50 pounds when i was 19 and got down to a size 5, gained it back after my second daughter.

I like to have a balance. Five nights a week I run for about 30 minutes (I'm thinking about increasing the time), and then about 2 hours a week I do Hatha yoga (asanas, breathing, meditation and all).

Right now I am loving the Hip Hop Abs routine. Although it's the cardio exercises and the Ab Sculpt that I can do, I am definitely enjoying it a lot! It's a fun way to exercise and tone abdominal muscles. Other than that, I love walking.
