Well i was going to ask about knitting in the craft section but then saw something was missing and had to search for the answer. i had a whopping 1.76 on here and it was gone. even though ppl are still responding to some of my posts.
I just got out of a 3-4 month stretch of depression that comes from my bipolar sometimes it hits like that. I log on here and find out that after 3 months they take your money. i was wondered how my lot made money now i know. So be very careful about getting sick or anything like that for more then 3 months are all your little bling bling will belong to them.
though i understand I dont have to like it. that 1.76 can barely buy a half gallon of gas in most places. I never once got an email warning me i was going to lose my pocket change if i didnt come in and say something. So now i will make sure to come in and say something. whether its popular or not or makes any sense to anyone else or not as long as it doesnt break the what you can post about rules.
I am more disappointed then anything else. Most of my posts arnt even payed attention to and really dont interest anyone so it took me quite a bit to make that little bit.
Maybe because this is half complaint half irritated with myself it might actually get read. lol. It seems ppl are more interested in soap opera dramas then ordinary conversations but thats the human race i guess. so heres my little tiny bit of soap opera. hope you all found it entertaining as i really didnt but i guess if even one person gets a real smile on their face it was worth it.
when i am in a better mood I got a question about knitting and will post later. dont want my 2cents to disappear again lol.

So sorry that you lost your pocket change. It is sad that they only give a few cents at a time and then they take it away. Thank you for letting us know that they will take it. I did not know this. I know what you mean about the post you post not being paid attention to. I have posted a couple of times and got a few responses and got a couple of post with no responses. I now just try to spend more time replying to post. I am truly sorry that my lot took your money and I hope you get to feeling better. your sense of humor really shines through on this post and it looks like you are not going to let it get you down. I don't know a thing about knitting so I won't be able to reply to that post.
Hope your day gets better

Hey buddy. dont be disheartened. May be your posts may not be appreiciated by everyone but some do and ultimately it will be your effort that will count. All i could suggest is that dont lose your heart and mylot does really pay.
I tell you my story. I made my account almost 16 months back. That time i had been active for about a month and had posted around 102 responses, uploaded some pics and started around 10 discussions. And i really got disappointed by the way mylot paid me. I earned a mere dollar for 100 posts. Then i had been away from mylot for an year. And when i came back i had lost that 1 dollar but my posts count remained the same. I kept it going in a more postive manner though. I asked one of my friends over here and she said that you can log a request to mylot about ur earnings being forfeited.
I did.I sent a message to mylot about the same thing and to my surprise, they gave me back the money. My money was put back into my account within 5 days. So you can log a request to mylot too and get back your earnings. If i could get after an year, y wont you after 3 months..SO cheer up..

Thank you for the information. I just might drop them a note and see whats up. I am kewl ether way it goes. it just seemed odd that they would even worry about that amount. but the TOS is the TOS. i have already made another 51 cents so i am not really upset. in fact i am quite surprised and proud of it :) i never matters to me how much it is. its what it represents :)

but still 1.76$ is still a very good amount. and you may have to waste your 3-4 days to earn it again. So think about it. They will make a refund..
Anyways have a happy stay

You have now answered what was going to be one of my questions. I have been gone from the mylot community for awhile now but thought that when I left there was money in my account and now it just shows nothing. I was going to ask where it went but you have answered that for me. I am so sorry that they took that from you as you are the one who worked to earn it and once it is ours they should not be able to take it away from us, especially a short time like 3 months, I could understand years but not a few months.

i am very glad that it was helpful. it took me a while to find it in the tos and really wish all places would make the dang text bigger so its easier for those of us that are blinder then bats could read it lol. Its also another reason i am breathing down mylots neck about it i know that i didnt read the TOS though i dont know if there has been any changes since i first signed in to mylot. but if they dont send out tos updates it would be a good thing to do. they could put them in the mylot digest emails. it was surprising to see them start poping up in my email but it was good as it gave me the kick in butt i need to start coming back and ramble on. i have a number of topics now that i have written down so i dont forget them to add to the community and hopefully have really good conversations and reasonable debates(ie Not Flame wars lol) Thanks for responding :)

I intend to be more active. though i may slow down at times. i will at least remember to come in and say something even if its hello i am not feeling good will be back later lol. Thanks for responding.and have a great day

wow a very nice drama online. LOL. maybe if you not active so the penalty would taking off your earnings. like in the bank if your account is dormant they take your savings until it's all gone.
anyway, mylot never did that. base on your number of post you have only 43 and you said your earnings is $1.76. wow how did you come up that earnings unless you have active referral.
thanks for the post.

honestly as far as i know i dont have any referrals but i was hitting some pretty heavy topics. so i am assuming it came from that. I tend to really get into topics that most dont or wont touch with a 10 foot pole and i dont do it for the heck of it they are real questions and articles that i have pulled from my life. which has been more then crazy. lol. i really didnt meant to make a drama just let ppl know to read the tos. its one of those important things that ppl just go yeah yeah accept i dont want to read all this stuff lol. thanks for responding. have a great day.

It is in the TOS that after 3 months of inactivity they do wipe your earnings. You can easily make back that $1.76 in one good day of posting.

i read the TOS back in lord knows when ether 06 or 07 and i think gmail must have eaten any change of notices they may have sent on changes. This is more a pick on myself for not keeping up on things like the TOS on my own. its kinda like medical you got to be your own advocate. Thats why this isnt a flame at mylot more of a "man really got to start reading the TOS not just hitting "i agree" I am actually going back and reading all the TOS's in the other programs and games that i play so i can be sure one of them didnt need my soul for payment as forfit lol.

i'm so sorry that mylot took your whole earnings just like that... my hubby also have an account here and had been inactive for quite sometimes... he had $6.75 there before he stop to being active... i always remind him to at least make it to the payout since he is not so far away anymore and be done with it if he doesn't want to participate here anymore... but at least don't let mylot took the earnings... fortunately, my hubby's earnings is still there when he logged in again after so long... so i don't know why they take away yours... anyway, hope your day gets better and take care...

thank you. i do my very best to always have good days lifes to short not to :) its been a very long time (like a year) but i was dealing with helping a friend with cancer and my own issues so i really wasnt up to sharing and taking time out to talk about it or i would have written a novel. I like to contribute not whine but i am really good at whining at times lol.
At least now i know what kind of subject titles to put into my future posts to get them read lol. got to be more newspaper like. :) You have a great day as well. and thanks for responding.

wow that is a bummer . I have never read the whole TOS here at My Lot but I can see where they could do this . That would keep us all coming back . It's been a while since I have gotten over here too . Sometimes life has more important things in store for us and we have to take care of those first. But glad to hear that you are back with us ...lol keep your chin up and keep smiling :D

i am always smiling its just the matter of being happy or my evil grin look lol. There looks like there have been lots of changes and for the better.
And i am very glad to be back. and i am really glad this hasnt turned into a flame because it was never meant to be. so it seems as if ether people have grown up or there are a lot more mature members then there was way back when. or maybe i am the one thats grown or all of the above lol. I spent this past year getting back together. we moved to michigan to help a friend who was passing from cancer and its been hectic but thats a whole nother post lol

Yeah.. The same thing happened to me.. Last year I signed up with the dream of making quick cash and made about 20 cents.. Then I just got fed up and left this place and after a year I sign in to find the cash is gone!! But now, its not a big deal to me as I have about 3 dollars in my account and I am sure I will make payout at least once in my lifetime in MyLot !!

Oh I am really sorry about it.
I just now remembered reading something like that long ago, which I had quite comfortably forgotten the very next minute.
It would have been better had the mylot officials notified you.
But,getting 1.76 $ for less than 42 posts is just awesome and amazing.
You must have posted really nice ones and should have worked very hard to earn that money.
I am sure, you will be back in no time.
And a ton of thanks for mentioning it and making all of us aware of it.
Cheers ! Nice day to you.
Happy mylotting.

thank you. they must rate on the topic and not the responses or i would have had like 3 cents lol. i just wanted to warn ppl to read the terms because most of us myself included just hit the accept button with impatience and dont bother to actually read them lol

Ok, I stopped being lazy and read the agreement. I was thinking that earnings disappeared after three months. And, making a few cents a day, like I do, would make it worthless to participate. But the agreement states that earnings are disqualified after three months of inactivity. It's not fair. Your earnings should remain yours. Regardless of how much time you took off from the site, you still did what you did to earn that money ... and should be compensated for it. You shouldn't be penalized for not "voluntarily" contributing to the site while you were busy tending to other things in your life.

so sorry to hear about what happened. i didn't know that something like this could happen. thank you so much for the warning. i hope you feel better soon. they should really send a warning email or something... it'd be fair that way...

thank you. if its one thing i have learned and that was before coming back here life doesnt know fair real well lol. so i have been working on a duck and cover strategy but its taking a while.
It just feels good to feel normal again. dealing with mental illness and the bumps life likes to throw your way can be very tiring at times. but I made it this long so i know i will make it longer.:) ppl will probably get sick of me posting after a bit I am now more in the mood to discuss things then i was before :) thanks for responding and wishing me better health.

i was just answering a post about a woman that makes $80. a month on here and she can't understand how we don't believe her. First time they take my money I'm gone, the moeny part is just a incentive to the posting but once you earn it they should have no right to take it back. I will never under stand how a person can make $80. when no matter what i do i can only make a few cents aday. Sorry that they are so cheap that they feel they have to take a few piddly cent from a person on here. Maybe they gave it to the one making $80.

i cant imagine making 80 a month unless you answer every single discussion and actually add to the topic. i dont care how smart you are there isnt a chance that you can do that imo. i can make really long discussions but i dont have something to say on every one i see.

posting!I'm used to viewing my friends' profiles everytime
i log in.So ,for me it's also interesting.

Do you mean if we will not log into our mylot account for a long time then mylot will take our money back? Am i right?
I am also feeling so sad for you. I means if we ant to take a break from mylot then we should do it after of payout and then our balance will be 0$.
Thanks

Do they take your money after three months, or after three months of inactivity? How long does it take to make the minimum payout, anyways. Making a few cents a day, like I do, it would take me more than three months to make the minimum payout. So, I'm wondering, if they take your money after three months, it would make no sense for me to participate.
